    This is the nicest fan pattern I’ve seen so fat. Thank you 😊. I wish you’d do a tutorial on how to remove extra stitches as well as add on as you talk about. I haven’t been able to do it on my own.

    I have the same crochet hook as you are using Alison but the black writing has disappeared ( I guess because of the why I hold my hook). Very annoying 😂😂😂

    My grandmother did this back in the late 80s. I had a pillow she made for the longest time and sadly with moving a couple of times, it's gotten lost. But my mom bought the kit for her so she had something to do in the evenings.

    My eldest sister did these when i was a teenager back in the 80's too. I am going to give this to one of my sisters to finish. Unfortunately all the hook pulling is hurting my arthritic hands.

    @@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel that's a bummer. I got thumb tendonitis last summer and couldn't crochet for about 3 months. It was torture! But now I pace myself and if things start to hurt, I put it aside. I love watching you demo new crafts on your channel!

    Wow, this is one of the most actually easy beginner patterns I've seen, and I've only just learned the treble stitch recently. Thanks for posting and for giving both US and UK terminology. I found your video while searching for two-color patterns for a blanket I'm making for some newlyweds (because everybody needs a "Hey, throw that over here, would you?" in the living room) that I'm making in a color the bride picked out, and I was hoping for something I could make in one piece instead of stitched together (a process I'm going to utilize in the future when I get more practice with granny squares).

    thank you so much Xxx I'm making a "gimmie that blanket over thanks" in log cabin style with all my odd balls yarn (in UK treble crochet) most are made with granny clusters. It's looking a bit ugly but it's thick n warm hahaha

  • @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
    @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannelКүн бұрын

    In the UK we have different terms for the stitches. I double crochet in UK is a Single crochet in USA A treble crochet in the UK is a Double crochet in USA and a double treble in the UK ( wrapping yarn around the hook twice to create a long stitch) is a Treble crochet in the USA same stitch but we have different terms for them

    Count your stitches on each side to see if you have the same if you have you might just be using yarn you will need to block into shape. Make it damp then pin it onto a thick towel into a neat square then leave it to dry

    How far apart should the dowels on frame be please? I’ve made a blanket but there’s gaps between the pom poms😢 Any tips on how to solve this please?

  • @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
    @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel5 күн бұрын

    one and a half inches apart you will always have a space between your pom poms but to make it less obvious try 5 rounds on base and pom pom layers that makes them thicker and a lot of people who sell their toppers do 5 rounds to make them more lush.
