Terrific playing Dan, it was you actually who I saw in’Escape the box’. I became fascinated with boogie-woogie and at 75 discovered a new style of music. Keep up the great work!

Do you remember the first time you heard boogie woogie in your entire life, or do you remember the person that introduced you to boogie woogie? I'd love to hear your stories.

I was a little girl, maybe 8 years old. …..in the late 1940s. My father took me to his friends house and dad’s friend played a boogie woogie record on the record player. I had never heard anything like it. I was transfixed. I knew that when I grew up, I would listen to that music, And, I have done that, all my adult years . And now, I’m a very old woman. Still love boogie woogie the best.

Why does this sound so flat compared to the professionals? Is it the piano?

Could you elaborate on what you mean by flat? Perhaps you're referring to the sound recording quality. If so, I'm working on improving that.
