I'm from a small town in North Georgia, and close to where I grew up, there was a haunted area way back in the woods that supposedly had a ghostly woman dressed in white who used to stand in the road. Several people swore it happened at different times

Once in south florida while driving around with friends at 2 am, our friend's older brother driving, we cruised around a complex of homes that were unfinished, so basically shells of future homes. We slowly creep around these spaces and find a road where the pavement ends, and a dirt road begins, and we followed it into the woods. His older brother, now driving a bit faster, decides to be a jerk and turn off the headlights and keep driving. We plea with him to stop it and turn them back on. As soon as he slows down, and turns them back on, our headlights shone on 3 or 4 people on horseback at the end of the road, standing around in the middle of the night, in the middle of the woods.... We all freak the F out and he bolts out in reverse like in the movies, we were all super shaken for a few hours, and still don't know what we saw.

I can't help but wonder if the "ghost" he saw was just somebody dressed up wearing a realistic-looking Halloween mask. With lots of bored, drunk college kids around, not to mention frat pledges, interesting things can occur...

I am NOT drinking any fuckin Merlot!
