Bonus Video: RGBW LED Moving Head Repair
The unscripted bonus repair video showing the RGBW LED moving head that came in with the UKing PARcans.
I got confused why it had two rectifiers, until i realised it was a dual-voltage supply. I also shot quite a lot of footage of me testing other components, before realising I was out of frame in the edit.
TL;DW: it was the Schottky Diode, presumably doing the 12V rail.

Saving stuff from landfill is always good.
Thanks for the video, always helpful to see other people work on things
i have a mini moving head wash light, and it appears to shake and doesnt make the full pan and tilt movements. what would you recommend? thanks for your videos. I have 3 others and have placed the pan and tilt to the same, but one is definitely off. everything else, as far as the light colors changing, etc, work fine.

Hmm… without seeing it I can’t really say but it sounds as if the motor has failed or is out of alignment.
will any Schottky Diode replacement do?

I should think so as long as it’s capable of the current.
