BONTOC Walking Tour - The Capital of Mountain Province in Northern Philippines
Let's go for a walk in the mountainous region of North Luzon in the Philippines. Bontoc serves as the provincial capital of Mountain Province and home to the Bontok tribe or Bontoc Igorots - one of the ethnic groups in the Philippines who formerly practiced headhunting. Bontok warriors during the war beheads their enemies with a battle axe then claims the severed head as trophies.
Today, Bontoc is now home to more than 24 thousand people and is being visited by adventurous tourists around the world for its captivating historical and eco-cultural tourist spots such as the Maligcong Rice Terraces, Kadchog Rice Terraces, the Bontoc Museum and beautiful waterfalls - Humuyyo Falls and Bayyo Waterfall.

I just like to give some clarification comment Ph Dot Net, the language or dialect the Bontoc people are using is not Kankanaey. Bontoc people have their own Dialect called "Finontoc" (Original Bontoc dialect) Kankanaey speaking people are in the western part of Mt. Province specifically, Bauko, Tadian, Sabangan, Besao, and Sagada tribes/municipalities. Thank you so much for featuring our beloved Capital town of Bontoc.

Correction,we in sabangan,sagada,besao,tadian 1 and bauko 1 are aplai tribe.people from buguias or other parts of benguet are kankana ey including bauko and tadian 2 since they are on the borders with benguet

@@j.s.2694 Really? According to Summer Institute of Linguistic declaration, Aplai is a racial identity, and Aplai dialect is called Mt. Province Kankanaey

Oh, I miss Bontoc! Thank you for visiting and showing the capital town of our beloved Mountain Province. No, the dialect there is Finuntok, not Kankanaey. Kankanaey is spoken by people in the west we call 'Aplai.'

these are the places where people should live i say for the clean air Just by seeing the mountains you realize that I live in the countryside that I bought 271 hectares 4 years ago to invest my money and I am left without a dollar hahaha Monday through Friday I'm in the city because I have a PC and TV repair shop. and on weekends I'm in the country and the fresh air is very noticeable beautiful place friend excellent video as always.

Primary dialect po in Bontoc is Finontok (tribe Bontok) which is different from Kankanaey used by the Applai and Kankanaey tribes.
