This is one reason that I’ve been a U2 fan since the early beginning. The band has made references to Biblical texts in their music for years. Bono is a good man, I was lucky to get to meet him years ago. I wish I could meet him again so we could talk about the Bible!

He said that there was a "historical Jesus". That does not necessarliy mean they support nor believe in our Christ and Christianity. Gnostics believe there was a person called Jesus as do Muslims who claim he was a minor prophet but deny he was the Son of God. But only God knows our hearts and what is in his. So i will leave that with God. To be part of the elite normally involves compromising and giving up one's Faith for Fame, Money and Power. I went to Catholic school all the way to high school, my high school was Salesian, so we study the differences between religious groups. But the Savior and God and the others all practice being a good person and forgiving as well as try to be the best or be good humans. Thank you U2, I wrote "Purple" for STP and I love lyrics and music. I thank God and Jesus and all the Angel's and Saints for everything up and down in this life of a moment in this time we or I am on this planet earth and universe. God bless all of us.

Amazing testimony from a person who has the ear of millions.

Been there, heard it, lived it. Was there when U2 played sunday bloody sunday: "To claim the victory Jesus won." Was there when U2 played Gloria. Was there when they played 40. Everybody, the whole stadion sang "How long to sing this song, how long to sing this song". I could still hear people sing it half an hour after the concert finished. Awesome Was there when U2 played with B.B. King, When love comes to town. All of that was awesome and just 5 minutes of a U2 song did much more to me then hours in church. Have been to Africa, saw a U2 poster left behind by another u2 fan hanging on a wall in a village (Kibaale, Rakai District, Uganda) where many people died because of Aids. U2 with their songs have had a mighty influence on the peace proces in Northern Ireland. So they are them and you are you, If you think you can do better: Go into the world and preach the gospel yourself.

I never really knew who this guy was, I seen his picture a LOT on the internet and knew he was famous, but suddenly I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. Way to go Brono, I'm sure Jesus was smiling when He heard you say this :)

What an amazing man to speak of our Lord and our Father. And it shows he has studied. Together with thousands of others, I got to leave my body while hospitalized at the age of 9. Many NDE’s (Near Death Experiencer’s) have met God. All I will say is you cannot imagine how blissful it is to be out of the body and in the presence of God. There are no words to describe it. I hope and pray everyone gets to experience God’s love. Wether it be here in the flesh or in the spirit ❤️🙏😊

uh hey there, Dave, buddy, umm i don't think 'near death' or 'death experiences' match up with what the Bible-GOD'S WORD-NOT YOU, say........the bible says it is appointed unto man ONCE to die, it doesn't say anything about dying then coming back, you got to take scripture in context and be born again and shown by God's Spirit the truth of just what God's Word is saying, or you won't understand it, the Holy Ghost-God's Spirit, wrote the bible all through the ages through godly men, the bible says, SO ONLY HE CAN EXPLAIN IT! sure the apostle Paul went to heaven, i'm sure he died when he went, but when he came back-all this by God's power-for we are nothing of our own selves, Paul was not allowed to tell of what he saw, God, to humble Paul, even sent him a messenger of Satan to buffet him, but here you are 'David' bragging, boasting of how you went out of body etc and acting all pious/holier than thou toward us all, proud, when God says he resisteth the proud and exalteth the humble -don't see any humility in you, david, just arrogant prideful boasting, the bible talks about people as you, deceived, in the last days, the bible says the last will be first and the first will be last, i think it's all the 'praise God' people etc. who are going to end up in hell, then the lake of fire for eternity...............hitler may even be in heaven, we don't know, he lived out his last days in Argentina or some south american country-proof is solid, with his wife, Eva Braun, and their two daughters, God can forgive hitler-anyone, and im tired of hearing this unbiblical lie of 'there are special places in hell for certain people' that's not biblical-hell is hell-same for all who have gone there, are there now, and are going.

"

Everyone listen...If your going to comment and complain, here's some info as most of you are clearly lacking.... The interviewer(Gabriel Byrne) is highly respected and well established in this role, Bono & G. Byrne are from the same city and are friends for many years, U2 gave the interviewer a Harley Davidson upon his retirement from the longest running talk show in the world some years back. He is 80yrs old and this IS his well know neutral/objective technique for all his guests in the TV series 'the meaning of life'. I'm just giving a bit of context. People are well entitled to give their critical opinion of him from there...as I'm not campaigning for him. Bottom line...Bono believes in Jesus Christ.

In the mid 90s he would sneak into the back of a particular Dublin church when revival meetings were taking place and just listen and then sneak out again before service ended. Cool!

There is something so special about a man that recornized who Jesus is so amazing and beautiful, to see an individual, like Bono share about him. wow. couple things here. one I'm not a U2 fan but I am very excited to hear this 2 minute clip. love it. Secondly, this dude interviewing him is trying to get Bono to say something "wrong". I don't like his style.

The bible is the most accurate and oldest of all known history books. To hear someone, such as Bono, describe God in his interview as a loving and caring Being, brings chills and happiness to my heart. @@gofishglobal7919 Right, there are many other things to be done; for instance, believe, repent, go to church, walk down aisle, cry, get saved, get born again, tithe, witness. If you do not do all these things, then are you "really" saved? If not, then repeat those 9 steps, keep repeating until it takes.
