Oh so we're all on the same journey right now, eh? 😅 oof it is hard, but this song came at the PERFECT timing.

Within 6 months I just lost 5 close family members and both my dogs. To get thru life, I numbed out and shut off whenever I felt tears of grief arise. I shut off too hard and recently I have been feeling nothing at all. Not even tears when I think of my recently departed family. Completely calloused. But this. This cracked me open. This was, at least a key, to getting that very tightly slammed shut door to open again. Thank you ♥️

And for me this is losses deep and long ago, that were not allowed to grieve, now just cold and lonely pieces, broken fragments on the side of a road I've never known. nowhere to go and no one to know what once was whole, was full, but empty now, unrecognizable pieces of a shell, cold and hardened, nothing living anymore.

The medicine of music is incredible. I am healing my inner child. I had to break down so I can be built-up again. As a child I endured major abuse and repeated the cycle in my adulthood. After years of alcohol abuse, I now have almost 13 years without a drink. I just celebrated a birthday which to me is my new year. This song came up in my feed and I cannot believe the Miracles it is speaking to me. In order for me to heal I had to feel all the pain. I thought life was picking on me until I realized that's part of being alive. And yes I had to be cracked wide open willing and able to be broken down so that I can be built up again by Creator to be the woman I'm intended to be.
