In my opinion this is one of the most beautifully restored P-47s out there
My dad taught aerial combat in the P-47. I still have his flight log book from the war.
My mom just sent me this video; Bill was the commander of my grandfathers squadron the 460th. Incredible men doing incredible things to say the least. He flew the P51 later but always preferred the P47.

This is the best airplane ever
My father flew the P47 & P51 in New Guinea and the Philippines during WW2. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery next Month. He reported that pilots preferred the P47 over the P51 because of its firepower, ruggedness, and its roomy comfortable cockpit versus the cramped P51

Beautiful! What are the black stripes on the wings for? They look a bit like D-Day livery but if it was in the Pacific that wouldn't be the case.

It's remarkable how beautiful the p47 razorback looks on one hand and how horrendously ugly the bubble canopy one is on the other hand.

in the youtube bio, it never actually says was EAA stands for. I still dont know
Amazing restoration. In my opinion is the flight presentation too risky. 100 ft higher still would be quite low
P-47 with an oval cowl?!
