What a pleasure it was to watch this. The sound of this bike and the views. I really need to do this exact trip myself. I keep telling myself I can do it. Thank you for sharing this...thoroughly enjoyed it. 👌

Thanks WNH. I might do it again in the fall. I'll let you know if you are interested.
That’s the Little Bike that Could. I could tell at Hoover Dam you were pretty tired. Amazing ride though. Looked like fun.

It's done more than I expected. My allergies and the cold was showing up a little. A fun trip anyway.
Done that trip many times on my bikes. I added the Congress>Yarnell>Kirkland>Bagdad route to bypass the single lane portion of the 93. Makes the ride much more pleasant.

That's a great route. When I have more time I like that route. Anything to stay off 93.
You're bringing back memories! We went to Vegas twice, once I went for work, and once as a vacation. We went through Kingman AZ to Seligman on our way to the Grand Canyon. I don't believe we could travel on the hover dam road at the time.

Enjoyed that my friend. I have 133,000 Km on my 2017 T100. Still going strong still loving it. Riding in small numbers is best but you did it alone and that is another experience altogether....Greetings from England ....old England that is, the original

Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Glad to here that kind of mileage on a T100. A ride I have planned is to ride over London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. Apparently, we stole it from you 😁
Really enjoyed you sharing your trip on the Bonneville. Kind regards from the UK

What a ride! Too bad big Bertha couldn’t tag along. What an adventure, I really enjoyed the views of the bridge and Hoover dam.

Looks fun...been riding dual sports for awhile. I need to pick up one of those T100's. It'd be my 1st bonafide road bike.

Great bike! Awesome video! Why is a pistol or knife even considered? Jeez dude! No-one has a shooter when shootings are happening except the police and they are too late! What a cool ride! Full respect! Great bike!

Nice little road trip. WTF is up with those gas prices? I paid $2.93 yesterday. Ride safe my 2 wheel friends.
@azdesertdog

In Wikieup they are just theives. The fuel trucks go right through there so its not a delivery problem. Central AZ gas comes out of California so it's artificially high.
Really liked this video. Opening remarks regarding guns and knives seemed unneeded and irrelevant to the great content. Just my $.02. Keep riding and making these terrific videos. 👍🏼😎🏍️

Sin City... The cooler weather sounds good about now, its been 100 plus for the last 30 days it seems in Texas and too damn hot for riding scooters. It looks like that T100 scoots pretty good on the highway. I sure like the soundtrack too. I guess for 500 miles in the saddle, the seat must be plenty good because you didn't mention anything bad. Do you miss any wind protection?
@azdesertdog

I wish we had that cool weather back. I really like the seat. The foam compound doesn't fade and the seat is wide enough for support.
Nice ride, except for that Vegas traffic! Hoover Dam didn't have the speed humps when I was there, at least ten years ago (car trip, wife doesn't ride). The Bonnie is perfectly capable of long distances; what was your actual trip time? End of July I was up in central PA to visit family, diverted north into NY on the way home, that trip was close to 500 miles, around 16 hours or so, think that's my longest single ride on the Bonnie (thought a few years back I rode up there in the morning, then my brother and I did a 300-mile loop to see Pine Creek Gorge, and with the trip home next day that was around 700 or so total). I've stretched a 250 mile trip on a fairly direct route into near 400 using back roads, on both the Bonnie and the Daytona. But my personal view of what a long trip is was established long ago when riding from DC-LA and back, and 500 miles is NOT a long day when you've done much longer (my longest ever in 24 hours was Marshfield, MO to Albuquerque (don't know the exact mileage but around 900 or more); might have exceeded that distance on the way back, Ft. Smith AR to DC, but that took somewhere over thirty hours). Longest with the newer bikes has been DC-Nashville, about 14 hours on the Daytona, could have gone further but that was the destination!
@azdesertdog

Thank you. The Vegas trip was around 10 hours. I find 600 to 650 miles and 11 to 12 hours comfortable even on my KTM. My usual MO is to ride to an off road area like MOAB ride a few hundred miles off road then head home.
Nice video, just for the record you could have carried "big Bertha". Nevada is a reciprocal CCW state with Arizona.

You think the brown seats would look good with the red and white? Really looking into one of these and I love the color schemes and the brown rumble seats they have.
@azdesertdog
4 ай бұрын
It sure would depend on what shade of brown. There's a bunch of choices. I think they make one called saddle. It depends on the manufacturer. Triumph really dies a great job with paint.
Mind if I ask you what is your camera setup? I am planning to get into riding soon and was wondering whats a good camera to have for safety reasons?
@azdesertdog
Жыл бұрын
I use the DJI Osmo Action 3 $400 with the DJI Wireless Microphone $300. That is a pricey set up for just recording incase you get into an accident etc. There are GoPro clones on Amazon that would do it more affordablly. To mount the camera I use the ProShot $33.
Good stuff... Been thinking about getting a new Bonneville for a while... I would have Definitely taken My Gun with me LOL... Used to live in Henderson... Now Glendale, AZ

It should be a good fit. I am 6' 250 and I ride long distance on it on all kinds of roads. I did a 500 mile trip to Vegas on it. I have a video on that. Good luck. Make sure you have the gear and take the MSF course.

I hear ya. I'm heading for 60 in a few years. My intent for these videos is to bust the myth that the Bonnevilles, and especially the T100, are only an around town underpowered bike. As you know that's hardly the case.
When you mentioned about your side companion staying home because it wasn't wlecom in NV, I thought to myself; 'isn't NV a open carry state like AZ?'

You normally only drink one cup of coffee a day, next you will tell me youre a vegan. Cold weather and old age doesnt go well together. I went through Las Vegas once, wasnt for me. Hoover Damn area I did enjoy. I was there around 1983 with my girlfriend and her mother, my wife that I met years later doesnt approve of that relationship, women.
