Bien hecho amigo. If you,re doing this then obviously everything else must be good. Just for ur info my barchetta still wasnt passing emissions test at ITV. Took it to fiat garage and after welding a joint on exhaust, new lambda and new fuel regulator it still wasnt passing. So i bought it for €2500 in 2012, and sold it last month without itv for €2000. So im not complaining. I got my 2001, merc slk project through itv so running about in that !@

I was wondering what happened to your B! I'm glad you're ok with the way it turned out. I thought about an SLK as a future project car for the channel. ​ @Online Auto Repair Videos kzread.infofeatured has some excellent videos on fixing the SLK roof. I think Wheeler Dealers did an SLK as well.

Good video again, I've done this on mine too (and the boot) but I added extra bitument sound deadening on mine. Great result.

Gracias. Para mí lo principal es el óxido y el motor. Compruebe cuándo se cambió por última vez la correa de distribución. ¿Cómo suena el motor? Si suena como un motor diesel entonces hay un problema con el variador.

Nice Video as always! Mine doesn't sag down and it is not glued at all. It has a curve to it so it presses against the metal hood. But maybe the location and weather of the car will bring different results after all those years of use.

Hello mate, very instructive video. I have a question for you, how was the textura of the bonnet soundproofing material after paint it ?, i also want to paint it but i don't know what type of paint use, i am between spray paint for fabric or a spray paint for engines, my first concern is try to stay the fabric texture on it. It was heat resistant paint. Send me an email and I'll send a picture of the spray can. It didn't affect the texture of the material. I didn't spray it on too thick just enough to restore the colour.

Thank you sir! Hopefully it will be the next one or the one after. Not sure yet, probably just the shocks.

You can also impregnate the soundproofing with sodium metasilicate (relatively cheap and easily available). If you apply it on the on the backside (brush, roller or spray). it will have a similar effect like hairspray, it reinforces (stabilises) the soundproofing (it glues the loose fibers back together which have vibrated loose over the years under the influence of heat and vibrations). Yes still ok, you'll be able to see it in the next video. Wasn't sure if the glue would last but all good!
