Freezing in admiration. There are no words. The beat that makes the music complete. Incredible. This is a professional and, most importantly, free lesson for all those who are interested in Rhythm areas. Let's donate for this wonderful work. Thank you, George
One of the truest interpretations a Bonham's drumming I have heard

Yes, indeed.
I've always said that Bonham's sound and touch are the most evasive to recreate. I've never heard anyone come close. I can honestly say this isn't close. This is right on top of. More than anything I'm in awe.

Right. People commonly talk about his power but it really about dynamics, endurance and pulling sounds out of the drum kit.
Yes sir. Drumming gave me tinnitus, tendonitis, carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve surgeries on both hands and elbows. I’m 64 now and have arthritis in every joint. Fair statement that drumming is a full contact sport. Be careful friends and stay healthy. And great job George.

Same, add to that almost 15,000 hours of jet helicopter in flight noise, 11 motorcycles and 3 decades of drums. I sleep with hand braces on. 67 years old. But I’d do it again….

Hold the stick between the thumb & middle finger not the index finger. Dave Weckl said his career was saved cause he switched to this. More natural bounce with this grip. I got rid of tension in the hand when I switched. I still use the old way for a couple of things but not much.

Been watching george since terry introduced him.He is the epitome of great drumming.
In 1981 I auditioned for a band & they asked me who's the greatest rock drummer & I said John Bonham. A girlfriend of the leader of the band said "No, Neil Peart is the greatest rock drummer!". I didn't get the job! THANK GOD! ✌️😁👍
Haha left us hanging at the very end there! 😂
Love those drums George, they sound superb. (with you playing).
THE BEST interpretation of Bonham on the planet. Hands down. Full stop. I really enjoyed this - thank you!
not even half way through and I'm like that's awesome!!!!

That low end is killer
Brother sorry for the health issues but my friend i need to say that you entire video is packed full of amazing drum shops in Dynamics and groove and if you are obviously trying to you know kind of give it a Bonzo spin brother you have nailed it and I mean nailed it well and the tone and tuning of your kit is great.
I hope you and Terry stay healthy. You guys do more for people than you know. Trust me. 🙏

I’ve never heard a closer approximation of Bonzo’s sound. Amazing!
Enough study material there to keep me busy for YEARS! Fantastic, thank you George!
Starting out with the live outro of Dazed and Confused from TSRTS - that section of that version doesn't get talk about enough --- it's totally killer -- on the drums, bass and the guitar soloing is out of this world. Unique for sure... sorry about tinnitus, George.😊
That snare sounds Bonzolicious! 👊😎🤘

Maybe I'm late on the observation, but I saw/heard Terry finally mic'd up his drums, George. They don't sound like doo doo no more in his videos. Help him tune that snare, though 😆
Buy an E-bike, you'll have ALOT of fun while getting exercise. You can also use it for light errands and potentially save some gas money ;-) - Thank you for sharing!
George, I use Bose Q35 II headphones while playing drums. It has noise cancellation & I know it doesn’t help because it just releases other noise to drown out what’s actually going on outside the headphones, but even when the noise cancelation is off it is not too loud. I want your opinion on if those are good for long term. I play a couple times a week. I have gun range over ears but it kind of hurts my head. What is your opinion on that? Do you think the Bose Q35 II is sufficient to avoid hearing damage?

I always used protection during rehearsals. It's all the concerts I've been to where I would stand by the PA without earplugs that gave me constant ringing.
This is the greatest thing I've ever heard in my life.
Will you join my band? 😆😆😆 You're the drummer we've always been looking for!!! Seriously though man, that was F'n AMAZING! Spot on...technique, tone, dynamics, patterns...really well and truly impressed. Keep it up! And I'll keep yelling at MY drummer until he understands that drums are there to be hit....HARD....not his little tappy tap taperoo 😏
Yes! Love that hi hat sound - this whole sound is at the next level!
George Flufas, you are a giant And by far my favorite drummer... online, or offline. Thank you for your generous advice, and lessons, and tutorials.
think it’s time to say george fludas is my favourite drummer !

Your technique is more accurate than Bonzo's. Great job !
As a kid watching Moby Dick on the movie, I always thought the triplets and Quads were the best part, even though I knew all the in between parts your doing here are really the meat and potatoes of Bonham's brilliance really is! I was just like,"How the Hell and what the hell is he doing?" But now as an adult I know what he is doing and I can do a lot of it, but you have it down Bro!!! Your amazing, I don't get bored for a second watching you!!! Thank you!!!!!

Fantastic, everyone should just start Drumming, great exersice sounds fantastic.Drumming for peace.
Been a professional touring and recording drummer for 30 years and my unsolicited advice is 1) wear hearing protection every single time you play (unless you’re on a pad). In my rehearsal room I love the Vic firth cans and on stage I use molded in-ear monitors. Yes they are expensive but if touring is your job it’ll save your life. 2) learn to enjoy warming up as part of practice and as part of your backstage pre-show routine 3) learn to enjoy working out, both a bit of cardio and a bit of resistance training. Good luck out there drummers and thanks for the content George you sound great
Resistance bands helped me loosen up my issue with tendonitis. I know this is a just KZread comment, but I highly recommend getting the ones with handles and putting it around a doorknob and figuring out all the basic exercises it can simulate. Bench press, arm curls etc. can be a great stretch. PT often will utilize them. Swimming as well. Heard you throw in that Roy Haynes stuff on the rim. slick!

Thank you! Yeah, I'm going to look into the resistance band.
Hello George, I often think about the many pioneers in drumming that passed at young age and wonder what influence would they have upon the music today. I regard those past and present artists that have had an impact upon drumming as your peers. Although, I as a drummer cannot do what you do, I appreciate beyond words how a piece like this has the ability to bring us in and carry us along. This happening as you are developing the piece. Yes I hear Art Blakey. I hear Elvin. I hear Tony. I feel groove and time. Purdie has the same ability to play musically for 30 minutes, and the rhythms are methodical and soothing. Thank you for your influence and impact upon drumming.

Beautiful playing my friend
Awesome!
I wish the engines of my vehicles sounded like that (not that I complain about them:) ). You mentioned two of the most common musician's health issues. Being a care taker and a non professional is the only reason I haven't got that much of tinnitus (yet) but I "married" tendonitis an age ago (on my left hand from guitar) and I have to pay a lot of attention to keep it away over the last many years, most of the times successfully with a few exceptions though. Ian Paice described his partial loss of hearing by saying "but that's just a very small price to to pay for what I have experienced doing this". Superb playing once again George, no visible or audible signs of tendonitis, if nothing else :)

Sto seguendo i tuoi video e devo farti i complimenti.

Most impressive! I admire your talent and the amount of work and passion you must have put in to be at that level! Do you ever struggle with wondering if you're bothering the neighbours in the house next door? I don't have adequate sound proofing. I'm down the basement but I alwys feel like I might be bothering someone. I never play too late or too early though. Thanks!

The drums sound perfect to me. I’m always super picky about getting my rack tom right where I want it. Between the room, mics, tuning, and your technique and feel - you nailed it!🤘
You make it look effortless ❤❤ cheers from uxbridge
I hear you George (no pun intended)! I’ve lost most of my hearing in my right ear because I always set my amp up to my drummer’s left like Pagey. I’d be down on my knee twiddling with my pedals at soundcheck and *crack* he’s whaling on that snare! F**ked me up for life. Glad you’re addressing the issue.
That was superb!! I'm not a drummer, but I love the sound of John Bonham and you nailed it.
The “Crossover” 👏🏻 Like always George you sound great 👍🏻
The kick drum variations were the best. Congratulations we both made it thirty minuets and all with out in-farcting the Kick drum head. ( maybe you weren't kicking it hard enough?)
Damn those drums sound good.
I had to get hearing aids at 51 so Protect those ears! Meloxicam helped with my left wrist and elbow. Talk to your Doctor. Thanks Professor!!!
George I’m so glad you mention those semi yet very irritating health problems because every time Iv shown or sent one of you videos to someone over the years I always mention when John Bonham was playing this solo or live show he was in his early to mid twenties George is not I’v always taken that into consideration over the last 10 years of all your videos. This is the best drumming exhibition Iv ever seen.

Good timing for this as I recently had surgery on my right collar bone (an old injury reared its ugly head). I just started today with my practice pad and hope to be back behind the kit soon getting back in to gig shape.
Unbelievable
Nice FYI for ear health.
Thank you for posting this. I have had numerous cervical and lumbar surgeries in the past 1.5 years and still have neuropathy in both arms and legs. I want to get back to playing, and this workout is now one I plan to use! Great post!!
Propa solid wooooo
Man, 30 minutes with that left foot counting, thats tuff! I get the wrist on left hand and the left finger lately, but nit even sure if its drumming related, but the rims shot might agitate it! Happy healthy playing George!
