The videos in combination with the book is very good. It was a bit difficult for me to follow along with the book alone, especially with the short sound samples. But this is very clear. It's been years since I first learned from your book and I did advance. So it's nice to see these videos. There are a few variations I did not quite get before, now I will. Thank you!

Great stuff. Will be acquiring (yes, I'll buy it) your book soon. Thank you sir! As one who has been playing melodic (guitar and piano) music for some time, making a study of percussion seems like the natural progression. Thanks again Trevor!

Thanks again for your comments. Please check out my DVD "The Art of Bongo Drumming" Mel Bay Publications for further clarification of the martillo. I will try to address your concerns in future videos when time allows. At the moment I am completing a new book/Cd on bongos for Mel Bay Publications which will focus on the use of contemporary rhythms such as jazz, rock, blues, R&B etc.

I do not understand why he had to do the last part of the video so quickly. If you explain a new technique or aspect of the technique you do not show it at full speed so it is difficult to understand. That is not good teaching.
