I do too..I miss this era..I know this song is mostly about racial profiling and struggling as a minority in a bad environment and trying to overcome those circumstances. I'm white and this song always breaks me down to my core..I tear up knowing all the good I've done but reminding me of the struggles I've been through and continue to push through for my family. Life is beautiful but hard, but if you choose to challenge it and keep pushing back, eventually there is a brighter future. I've been slowly seeing it the last few years.. This is one of my favorite songs ever.. It makes you feel and think..

Lmfao this song came out in 2007, arguably one of the worst eras of hip hop and the peak of ringtone rap. Don't get me wrong, there was some great music in 07, but most of it was dated garbage. Don't let nostalgia inform your opinion so much.

Whether nostalgia is hitting like a McGregor hook or not, this song is undeniably good. It talks about real shit and hits some people close to home and in the feelings like good music should.
