Love your bunnies! I have 3. Two netherland dwarfs (mixed) males who are brothers and a lion/jerseywooly female. All have been fixed in mid may this year. Unfortunately my smallest netherland (Dax) broke his back leg. He is in recovery though and has his splint off. I'll be waiting to bond them hopefully late August, but if the small guy needs more rehabilitation time then I'll have to wait longer. They are all three currently separated in pens but they are connected so they've been getting used to each other. My concern is the lionhead/Jersey wooly (Liona) is huge compared to the little guy (and his leg), Dax, and the other brother, Forrest, is between the size of those two which I'm not too worried about. Your video has great tips though so I think it's more of a waiting game to see how things heal for Dax. A question I have also, after you do this long rigorous day of bonding, are you confident to keep them all together right away even when you leave the house? Or do you have to do another session?

Hello! I have a rabbit as well who currently lives in the garage in a tiny store bought cage and I feel extremely sorry for her. She doesn't have any toys although I have been making a few for her since my parents will not allow me to buy toys for her. I am trying my best to try and convince them to get her a large hutch or x pen and made a presentation on why rabbits should be housed inside. They believe that she will smell no matter how I try and convince them (She is litter trained). She cannot be let out in the garage cause it is not at all bunny proof so she doesn't get free time out of her tiny cage. :( My parents will be pissed if she even sets a paw in the house, especially my grandma who is a HUGE person on being tidy and clean and will yell at me if she sees a single stalk of hay on the ground.. Any tips on how I can convince them? Plus, my rabbit HATES to be groomed and she is an angora rabbit!! She will be mildly angry if I lightly brush the sides of her, but if I try to brush her bottom where all the clumps of fur are and litter is stuck to her fur, she will scratch me and squirm everywhere!!! Please help me!

that is because she isn't socialized enough, bored and confined to a cage!! from ur description she sounds miserable. their minds need to be stimulated with lots of toys daily. they need lots of room to run and explore. if you cannot offer her better living conditions, do the right thing and find her a better home

+Audrey Wang unfortunately if you cannot provide your rabbit with an appropriate living space and appropriate care then the best option is to rehome her to a rescue so that she can find a suitable home. I know this probably isn't what you want to hear but if you cannot persuade your parents to improve her living conditions then the kindest thing to do is to rehome her to someone who can.

@@mypamperedpets hi, I thought I'd ask for some advice as I'm a little stumped as to what to do.. these 2 buns have been together for around 19 hours now and I thought things were going really well as they were ignoring each other. Until I realised why, my male, even though he has been neutered for years now is getting territorial over one half of the tiny crate they are in (its like 2 feet by 1 foot maybe a little bigger) so my female is sitting in the corner doing nothing. I moved her to clean up some pee she was sitting in and he immediately lunged at her and teared out a huge chunk of her fur. She didnt fight back but retreated straight back into the corner where she originally was. I'm not sure whether this is normal and to just leave her in the corner or what I need to do to fix the issue as she clearly isn't brave enough to approach him alone (he is like twice her size as she is a netherland dwarf) If you could give me some suggestions that would be super helpful, thanks

+all for rabbits you do unless you want to risk getting your hands ripped to shreds. I once didn't wear gloves and my rabbit bit straight through my hand and I had to go to hospital to get it stitched up and to get a tetanus jab. I only recommend it so that the same doesn't happen to anyone else.

it is much safer to wear gloves, just in case you need to separate a fight. when bunnies fight they’re just biting blindly, so they could easily bite hard through your hand. so no, you don’t need gloves, but you could risk getting a serious injury.
