I’m sick of brands claiming sunscreens have a “universal tint” and are “matte” when they are absolutely not. Like who is approving these formulas with these false claims attached??

Companies will release orange colored Vaseline and call it a "matte tinted moisturizer". They rarely should be trusted to know what matte actually means lol

If you haven't tried it, the Australian Gold SPF 50 Tinted Face Mineral Lotion is the best! If you like a matte finish, this is it! I think it is really thick so I tend to use less product. To compensate for that, I put another sunscreen first and then apply the Australian Gold one. That works for me, and this keeps me matte for like 6-7 hours. (I have really oily acne-prone skin with rosacea)

Does have a pinkish/beige undertone though rather than an olive/yellow one.

It’s true. I love it for the matte and protection but boy is the tone rough on my pale golden/neutral skin

I used that one for a long time and really liked it but after a while I didn't care for the texture. It may have been a formula change or maybe changes in my skincare made it incompatible.

I wish I could use that, it just cloggs my pores and breaks me out like crazy and gives me a slight rash... The ingredients are really good tho if it works for you. I'm very thankful for this brand the only spfs that work for me

If I want a matte finish, I wear the Rephr Light hydration cream topped with the ELF Invisible Sunscreen. It's one of those blurring, primer-like sunscreens. Or, alternatively, I use the Elta MD UV Clear tinted or the harder to blend Elta MD UV Elements Tinted (for light-medium, medium, medium tan skintones only).

I love the Acnes tinted sunscreen!

My recent daily holy grail sunscreen is the tinted Paula's Choice Resist Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30, not water resistant but good enough for daily wear to and from the office. It does look matte on my very oily skin and keeps it that way for at least 2 hours, and slightly re-mattifies during reapplication. It can be drying (the drier skin around my upper lips and nasal fold area, as a result of Differin use, actually peeled without moisturiser underneath), which is strange as it's marketed to be moisturising (but I don't see any moisturising ingredient in the ingredient list), so I use a matte moisturiser underneath.

IMO, cuz this brand is my favorite when it comes to sunscreen tbh, the blue bottle akin to that one that's SPF 30 and not 50 (just bc for me spf 50 just does not agree with my face) is my absolute favorite. It's not matte though but even though I also have oily skin, I personally don't mind b/c i love a little glow. But for a matte sunscreen, i would have to say my absolute go to is the cerave ultra-light moisturizing lotion spf 30.

I have not tried anything yet from Bondi Sands. I'm still on the hunt for a good tinted spf, preferably something similar to the Isntree Watery Sungel, but tinted. If anyone has recommendations I would love to know.

Their face fluid that comes in a small bottle is the best as far as matte for sunscreens go

I wish this was matte 🥹 and sadly it's not water and sweat resistant too ☹️

It almost seems like the tint is meant to bronze your face when you have self-tanner on the body (which kind of makes sense for the brand). It's hard to tell from the video, but it looks lot like this Clinique for Men liquid bronzer I used to have, that made my untanned face match my body more.

This was so disappointing for me! I am still trying to finish it. Not only is it orange and super shiny but also transfers absolutely everywhere. A hard pass for me.

I don’t want my sunscreen matte. I’ve been using the regular one for face and the body one on my face now that I ran out of the face one. I kind of like that the tint is pinkish. I find the regular sunscreen so moisturizing that I can go without a moisturizer underneath.

It gives orange 🍊 colour on skin tone of brown 🟤 skin shade???? Please answe me dear

Did u get any eye stinging by this? I have heard that the other versions from bondi sands do sting eyes

I have tried lots of them, they're very good, the only ones that don't bother my eyes... And lots of spf brands bother my eyes. The small blue one he mentioned at the end was the only one that bothered my eyes slightly. The big blue one is great, it's for all over and doesnt burn my skin or eyes. Sinks in much better than the big white bottle of the original spf.

I’m optimistic tbh. The tint is more for ‘bronzing’ than to camouflage a white cast, so I think it would look nice and glowy on you
