Bond Angle of H2O
The bond angle of H2O is about 104.5 degrees.
WHY?
Because a tetrahedron has angles of 109.5 degrees, and the lone pairs of the oxygen provide a little bit of extra repulsion. Thus, the H's are pushed together just a little more than 109.5
