Love Bon Jovi. I live in the same county as Bon Jovi (Monmouth County, N.J.), and he does so much charity work. He opened a restaurant in Red Bank, where you only pay as much as you can afford, he also opened a great food bank, where his son works for free. Really a great family!

Al comienzo del video dice que, cuando la escuchó por primera vez, le impactó tanto que quisiera haberla escrito. Y decidió hacer su versión.

Richie and the BonJovi Band harmonize with Jon so well. Dave is wonderful playing this song on the piano. I listen to this rendition quite alot bcuz Jon puts so much of his heart and soul into the lyrics. BonJovi has made this song one of the Best Ive heard. This is my favorite rendition of this song. It moved me to tears and i found myself singing along loudly, with much emotion and when the song was over The Lord and I had a serious, long talk that was way overdue. With all the bad news out there,, heariing this makes me forgot my troubles and just praise The Lord for all the GOOD things in life, and there are many. Life is beautiful and precious, yet so very fragile. Praise God for another day.

Unfortunately, no. Unless he repented of his sins and trusted alone in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation then he is in Hell right now. Faith in Jesus Christ is needed for the forgiveness of sins. Leonard Cohen was a brilliant artist, but he was a sinner and I saw no hints of him being Christian.

I haven't commented much on Leonard Cohen's or John Bon Jovi's work, but this performance came across as just a wonderful tribute. While the quality of the music was what one would expect from this level of talent, but this was also so much more! When John translated this song, he not only captured the soul of that original work, but he gave all and took nothing. He sang it with his love of the music, and if John ever reads these comments, (and I hope he does), thank you for sharing your heart and soul with us.

As Bon Jovi says in the beginning, "this song takes you over". The energy that moved through Jon as he sang this song was beyond the "physical" and manifested itself within him and outward thru him. When he completes the song, look at his face and eyes, he was truly "taken" to another dimension when he sang, and brought back. WOW
