When my dog was young the vet said she was a Pit. Now my dog is a year old the vet said she said she made a mistake. My dog is an Amstaff. I have checked the breed out and yes she is an Amstaff She is the sweetest dog you can imagine. She keeps our life interesting. Everyday at the same time. I swear this dog can tell time. She bugs us to take her to the park. She loves it there and all her friends are there. One or 2 hours of this is good for her. Amstaffs are a happy fun loving and loyal dog.

natashka1982 you never know what your going to get from a shelter or a rescue. I've done it both ways. Rescues/Shelters don't have enough time or availability to do full backgrounds on everyone they take in. I appreciate your enthusiasm. Sometimes it best to know the whole bio on a dog given the intense media scrutiny these breeds get.

beautiful animal! dogs are not made to fly birds are. when you work a dog on a spring pole or tire etc. its important to know their biting power comes from being grounded. they push down with their body and pull up with the head. keep his rear legs on the ground. its not only unsafe to have all fours off the ground, but it does nothing towards conditioning
