Look Sturm... *I chuckled* It's pronounced a "Luchs Turm" (in english Lynx turret) for future reference mate. ;) Sterling job on the painting though. Real simple, real easy to follow. Thanks for sharing.

its also nice to see detailn and weathering work being done quickly and simply, something the hobby seems to have gotten away from, fun! yes , all the photoetch looks great, excellent details are better than ever, but i had more fun just building and painting without the extra cost of PE and all the other fancy stuff. again i applaud you on quick and simple results

Well done! Any chance you are going to do a video on white-washing/winterizing tanks for Battle of the Bulge or the Eastern Front?

another easy, fast, cheap way to add realism to your vehicles, is to drill out the gun barrels and exhaust pipes and anything else that should be drilled out. it adds realism as well. nice work , by the way, looks very convincing.

Yep, I tend to use them in my own work. For these tutorials I try to keeps things simple, i.e. not using airbrushes or more specialised materials.

Question. What do you do if you don’t have a glaze or don’t have the necessary paints? I don’t have a glaze and lack some paints but I have tan paints as well as others from Testors.

It's hard to say without seeing the paints myself but you could use water to highly dilute one of the paints and use that instead. It won't have quite the same effect as what I used here but it should be fairly similar.

The War Gamer Thanks man! I’ll try that out on one of my models and see how it works!

Do you find the army painter spray primers to be really thick and heavy when spraying? I’ve noticed this and I find when spraying things, like tanks, the primer doesn’t reach the areas by the stowage details and you can still see the plastic underneath.. I just used half a can of skeleton bone spraying a Panzer III because the primer just wasn’t covering detail.

Hmm, I've not found that myself. It could be a number of things: High humidity can cause the paint to not stick properly and results in uneven coverage. Same goes for low temperature. High temperature/low humidity cause the paint to dry mid spray and can cause a sandy texture on your model It could be something like a mold release agent on the sprue not being cleaned away, preventing the paint from sticking. Or it could be the that the can hasn't been shaken properly. If it's not any of those, you possibly have a bad batch.

@@PeteTheWargamer Thanks for replying mate, and in response, I take every single precaution - I never spray in the wrong weather, I always shake the can for 5 or so minutes, I always clean the model, always hold it at the right length away etc. But I have a feeling It might just be a bad batch, as you said. However, I've used army green and it's been the exact same. I think it might just be that it's quite a thick spray and the detail down the side of the tank was extremely hard to get to (it was between stowage and the left side of the hull on the warlord PzIII) I cleaned it all up with a brush and paint skeleton bone though:) Great tutorial, I'm following it and my PzIII is looking good!

Cool video. Was wondering if you could do one going over painting non-Caucasian skintones. I want to paint a multi-cultural Canadian Bolt Action army including African and Native American troops.
