my volksturm german army has a five person hittler youth squad, four panzerfaust's, i mostly use that for my tank hunting, it's not technically an assult but you try and get the baby nazi cannon fodder into point blank and let of all the rockets in a volley, goodbye t34. i mean that army has a lot of pf's so i have other squads that can do the job but i mostly leave it to the child soldiers.

I once played with a maus. It was never penetrated but suffered so many pin. So pin your enemy tanks. That leaves you a chance to get close with infantry

Im a strong believer of infantry with AT grenades and have destroyed DOZENS of tanks with them!!!!! I bring at least 2 squads with AT grenades

I hope those squads are 12 men because each only has a 50/50 chance of hitting, so you'd get +6 pen from them on average, still needing a 3+ roll to even do superficial damage to a 9DV tank.

I played last week and my Hetzer tank hunter got rushed by enemy flames and was cooked. Rough times...

I play Russians, and my free inexperience squad (12men) with anti-tank grenades has more armored vehicle kills than any of my AT gun or tanks. People have a tendency to ignore this squad for some reason.

I agree with this. the amount of times i've lost a panther due to not paying attention to them is frustrating

You can't argue with an average of +6 Pen with a 12" range for free!

2:55 is that an actual warlord games Sherman?? Looks tiny to me, more like 1/72

Infantry with AT weapons are effective at area denial. Of course they can assault though it is wise to set the conditions with redundant weapon systems. It comes down to numbers and percentages of those numbers. Better than 50%? Execute attack. As an aside, I have actually assaulted an APC while dismounted in real life. They were all in the trail APC's passenger compartment, no one looking out (Forward focused and "blinded".) Ran up unseen from behind (they were firing on dismounted the HQ section ahead), tossed two grenades into the compartment, shot the driver, turned the crew served weapon onto the lead APC and disabled it before running scared back into the wood-line. You do what you gotta do. 101st ABN DIV (AASLT)

Was the infantry closer than six inches? Shouldn't the Firefly have gotten reaction fire?
