May I suggest you Google an area you plan to speak of first? I believe good information would enhance what you are trying to accomplish here. Enjoy your stay in Idaho! (and the free camping)

    4. As you are traveling in the Boise National Forest and indeed camped there, logging within this area is not managed by the state of Idaho. It is a National Forest. 5. Many areas along that route have suffered catastrophic fires in the last few years. The area between Moores Creek Summit and Lowman where hard hit. Much of what you are calling 'clear cut' in that area is, I believe, the result of these fires.

Not a bad attempt but some of your information regarding the area you are in is incorrect. 1. Ontario is in Oregon. It is the last Oregon city you passed through eastbound on I-84 before crossing the Snake River into Idaho. 2. The river there is the South Fork Payette River. It is pronounced pay-et. 3. Idaho State Route 21, also known as the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Route, runs up and over Moores Creek Summit at 6118 ft above sea level and is a high way lol
