As a Giants fan I’ll always respect the Brady/Belichick era. I got sick of it towards the end, but I just don’t think you’ll ever see a dynasty like that ever again. Yea you might have a franchise win a couple SBs in a 5 year span like the Chiefs. But 6 SBs with 9 appearances from 2000-2018 is just unprecedented in this sport.

This morning I applaud Coach Belichick and the outstanding coaching contributions he made over these past twenty years in making my Patriot football weekends most enjoyable ... As a Patriot fan I've been very spoiled with my team winning six Super Bowls this century ... I wish Coach Belichick all the best and future success in moving on to a new team in pursuing the head coaching record for most NFL victories ... I also applaud Robert and Jonathan Kraft by taking the high road and showing their true class and sincere thanks to Coach Belichick allowing him to now look for a new head coaching opportunity without involving any trade and draft pick compensation ...

Everybody talks about the '85 Bears, but the '86 Giants held Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Bill Walsh, Joe Gibbs and the Hogs to 3 points. BB is a genius. He invented the two down lineman, 8 DBs and LT for the Super Bowl against the Bills. Now you see it all the time. He's special to every Giants fan. How the Maras let him leave the building for Ray Handley is a tragedy. BB, Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry weren't good enough for them. He coached the greatest defensive player of all time and the greatest offensive player of all time. That's not a coincidence.

Pats fan here, this decision is was stupid, personally I’ve found that half of are fan base is spoiled, while the other half is more logical. And as a football fan I understand that teams aren’t supposed to be good as long as we were. The NFL always runs its course, and that’s were the team is currently at. Give us a right qb which unfortunately isn’t Mac, then the situation magically would change. The point is that losing is part of the system, it’s impossible to win forever and patience was the key in our case. But now we are truly trash, and I’m sad to say but I will no longer put any merit and/or my time in the New England Patriots. Robert Kraft made a bad choice, and if it was the right one it was too soon🧐

Here is what Belichick said to press after loss to Commanders: “Like yesterday (against Washington), *we had our chances. We just need more plays at the critical times of the game”* See what a dumbfook belichick is? He expected high QUALITY plays from a CHEAP squad, because Brady was able to do it since 2001. Obviously, the dumbfook doesn't think it is a big deal, of course his admirers don't either.

Amazing HC. Best ever? Possibly but possibly not. Regardless, amazing career. I am still mad he didn't try to keep Brady in 2020. He thought he was being cute by sticking to his style of letting good players go before they get too old, but Brady wasn't just any good player. That was Bill's error. He underestimated how crazy good & how loved a 43 year old Brady still was. That underestimation lead to Bill's own demise. Sad day for Bill & the Pats. Perhaps not sad, but definitely memorable. However, it was inevitable. Best of luck in Atlanta, Bill.

I would say it is a GOOD day for the Pats because now they can actually move on from Tom Brady and maybe get a good coach. Belichick is NOT THE GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME, he is the head coach that had one of the greatest players of all time for 20+ years.

A dark horse candidate for Bill’s services in my opinion are the Buffalo Bills. If they have an early playoff exit, keep an eye on them. The pieces are there and more importantly the QB is THERE. Same division as the PATS and the Jets, a franchise he wouldn’t mind sticking it to until he retires. Bill and Buffalo go together. #darkhorse

Bill didn't get Fired. That's a term in the NFL. Yes coaches are fired, but Belichick can't stand losing!! Just like Brady. I truly believe Bill wants to end his career winning again and having one more SB win! And I also believe Robert Craft gave him an option. I do believe they didn't want him to be a GM, and just coach.

Bill is like Peyton Manning in not wanting to coach in the AFC. He knows that Mahomes is there and many other teams that would make it hard to get to a Super Bowl without Brady. The NFC is wide open. Peyton did not want to go to the NFC because Eli was there, and one or the other might stop one or the other.

What a warped sense of reality. Brady kept that team together. He was the voice of the team not Belichick. When Brady left that team it fell apart, players left, information started to leak, and dissent within the team. Plus he can't draft to save his own life. He ruined Mac Jones. His sense of arrogance lead to the firing. Good luck to any team that wants his services as a HC because he has shown he will never change. I'd like to see him as a DC because that's his speciality, where he truly shines with his expertise. But his ego will never allow it.
