i remember flying in a Dreamliner sitting right over the trailing edge of the wing, when the landing gear was being tucked in it slammed the belly so hard that it shook the entire wing. Also seeing 787 parts moving without the support generator noise is weird

It's running off of the aux pump (APU is not running, they're on ground power: plugged in). The electrical auxiliary pumps don't push as much fluid (GPM) as the engine driven utility pumps they normally use in flight. They don't use the utilities because that means engines running while on jacks: that's a setup for a lot of disaster, so instead, they use the tiny pumps which drive everything slower, but still get the job done.

Mas acho meio improvável esse conceito voltar, pois já se comprovou a ineficiência de pousos e decolagens na água pelo fato que é necessário que até as ondas tem que estar na mesma direção do pouso. Por esse motivo que um piloto que necessite pousar em água só irá fazer isso em último caso. Até mais.

I remember running into an article giving shit to Indian Airlines for buying a new Boeing 777-200lr and scraping it for parts. That is a very common thing with all major airlines. Simple logic says it is cheaper just to buy the whole plane than to pay part for part as needed.

Eagle Chiu It tilts aft wheels down to provide additional shock absorption for landing, and it tilts nose wheels down to help fit in the wheel well.
