At 6:38 in the video, in the NAV screen, upper right, it says 1751.4z and 1.7 NM. What do they mean and how do you toggle that on and off?

Captain, over my career I have flown millions of miles as a passenger in all classes and in all parts of the world, and often wondered what the pilots were doing upstairs or up front - and wondered how they managed all those buttons. In this video you explained in 7 minutes what all the buttons are for and in a way that someone like me can understand. Your take offs and landings consistently show better than any other similar videos, what it is like to fly a 747. CHECK!

I am a former Flight Attendant so this makes a lot of sense to me. While I am not a pilot , I have learned so much during my years up there. + we had to learn the very basics like how to us the radio, keeping the ship level, speed and that sort of thing. I remember when Tcas first came out. Thank you for taking the time to explain … fly safe …….. ……. … .. ->-

Ah, this Captain shouldn’t frighten you! He does maintain (as required) a sterile cockpit and shouldn’t frighten you. He is a sweet man and the best pilot ever and he loves his followers. Enjoy his videos!!

Superb explanation and tour around the instrument panel. Such an accomplished pilot (Daniel too, the co-pilot). Captain i appreciate you going throughout our Flight plan Briefly and all other procedures as of emergency procedures and Engine out procedures and 165 tons of fuel aboard is incredible and overhead panel checks for circuit breakers check. RTO check out and all other systems check.
