Yes exactly, the gun the police took off him was safely tucked away, the person who reported him waving it about must have had x-ray vison to see it, and just made the whole thing up to get him in trouble. He is ranting about them having to make up a crime, when he brings a gun to pick up his kid from school, then threatens another parent with it. This dude needs to get his head out of his a$$ and call a lawyer.

I saw a guy standing up for his rights against unlawful detainment. Just because somebody points the finger and runs away that does not mean that you have reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed. The complainant left the scene, at that point there's no victim. All you have is somebody said that guy's got a gun. The cops should ask do you have do you have a gun and if the responses I don't have to answer your questions, the investigation is over. I was a deputy sheriff for 6 years, there's rules and laws for a reason. It does not matter how, more patients a cop is when he has no justifiable reason to be doing his actions in the first place. The guy in the car is not wrong, where is the victim, where is the complainant, did you see it, do you have it on camera? Those are all questions that are very valid and negates all reasonable articulable suspicion. As a private citizen minding your own business you have a right to tell a cop your suspicions are your business and until you have some evidence go away.

Also, guns are not permitted on most; if not all, school property and this guy had just allegedly pulled a gun on someone. A smart person would have just remained quiet and said he is invoking his 5th Amendments rights and not further incriminated himself. If he can't control himself when speaking with a cop, how do you think he deals with others. I guarantee he is a fully certified fool when he loses his cool. The cop is responding to reports of someone flashing a gun in a threatening manner in front of a school. What precipitated that is hardly his concern. Besides, the man’s behaviour is a tell-all weathervane as to who is likely in the wrong re: the traffic incident. His flair for the dramatic and subsequent escalation when the cop starts questioning him, and I’ll add in a very restrained manner, tells you everything you need to know. No doubt, he’s using a healthy serving of hyperbole when saying someone “nearly ran him off the road and killed him”. If I reacted like him (and had a gun, obviously, which I don’t) every time I was done wrong in traffic, there’d be nothing more than empty shell casings, cadavers and scorched earth in my wake. Attempting to defend this individual defies any and all reasoning and sound judgement. What should be recognized as basic civility and decency should never be castigated by someone else by using the term “boot licker”.

I definitely believe he did what the person that called the cops said he did.

Imagine a different crime, like someone witnessing a contract killing by some organized crime group. Does the hitman have a right to lay eyes on his accuser at the scene? Of course not. That's not how it works. Beyond that, though, the guy was just running his mouth to no real purpose. No answers would have resolved anything for him. He was getting arrested the second they found the gun in the car someone accused him of brandishing. No discussion necessary, and you're not having court in the parking lot. Smartest thing for that guy to have done would have been to say nothing at all and request a lawyer be present before answering any. You're watching a form of de-escalation. He starts out all huffy, talking trash and posturing, and over time the lack of anyone engaging on that same level and his own adrenaline running out on him causes him to become a bit calmer. True, but the accuser had to have been right there. They could confirm where they were in relation to where the event occured. Who called it in? Where were they? How far away were they? More importantly, what does the traffic cam say? Most people-including u and me would be upset after experiencing being run off the road then by treated like YOU were the criminal. The video should be able to verify all. I tend to believe the suspect. I doubt, if he actually brandished the weapon, that he would be so insistent that they pull up the video. I bet they got the wrong guy snd escalated it by treating him like the criminal he is NOT. Possibly a hot head? Maybe. But I bet he didn’t brandish his weapon.
