Bodybuilder Baby (obscure 50s rock music)
Музыка
Jackson Krauss had the Tennessee music scene all shook up after he and his band of relatively inexperienced newcomers signed a record deal after their very first public performance. Bodybuilder Baby was pressed to vinyl and shipped to stores within a few weeks, bearing only the picture of Krauss' fiancée per his request.
Unfortunately, amidst their whirlwind success, tragedy struck. Krauss would meet a sudden end in an accident officially labeled as “horseplay,” leaving the rest of the unnamed band to juggle the demands of the record label and their live touring schedule. Most of them could barely play their instruments.
In an attempt to draw attention to their dire situation, the band named themselves Apply Today! They would cobble together their first post-Krauss release - “Our Best Member Passed Away” - mere hours before his funeral at the behest of their manager, Colonel Don Packer.

Lyrics:
She's a goddess made of iron
I could stand to lose some pounds
And when she gets home from the gym
I let her toss me all around
She's my body builder baby
Oh she's my body builder baby
She's my body builder baby and she
better batter me tonight
Come on,
Lift, baby, lift
Come on,
Toss, baby, toss
Come on,
Press, baby, press
Come on,
Squat, baby, squat
She's my body builder baby and she
better batter me tonight!
She's got arms that look like mountains
She's swiningin' kettle bells
And when we out shopping
She lifts me to higher shelves
She's my body builder baby
Oh she's my body builder baby
She's my body builder baby and she
better batter me tonight
Come on,
Lift, baby, lift
Come on,
Toss, baby, toss
Come on,
Press, baby, press
Come on,
Squat, baby, squat
She's my body builder baby and she
better batter me tonight
Batter me tonight, baby!

My grandma was the inspiration for this song, grandpa played bass guitar and dumbbells on this track. Never received writing credits or royalties from it either. What’s the statute of limitations on that I wonder? Sure would help with his up coming funeral expenses.
