I'm dying; here I am expecting some firework-like boom and then I get, well, whatever that was. But they are beautiful birds, if a bit odd looking. I'd probably come over to investigate just because the sound is so flummoxing.
Haha Daft Punk's Around the world was perfect for this video! Well done!!

@billhinkle1653

Protect them from what? If you mean hunting, please be aware of some FACTS. Sage grouse are hunted legally in 10 of the 11 states they reside in. There has NEVER been a species hunted to extinction by legal sport hunting, since 1910. Hunting seasons, and limits are scientifically set by state and federal agencies, to only take the excess over carrying capacity. BTW, so called "conservationists are all about talk, and noise. Hunters PAY for conservation with license fees, and boosting local revenues, and mostly with voluntary taxes paid into the Pitman- Robertson fund to the tune of BILLIONS of dollars. There is a huge difference between protectionism, and conservation.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a Japanese dating game starring these birds

so funny! love the female grouse; they are cute.

Wow nice voice 😘😍 & good birds... 👌 👌👌....
0:47 wow they sound exactly like daft punks around the world 😲
Enjoyed alot to watch such video....
This is even more interesting when you factor in that. Thanks to recent research that long neck giant syropods had the similar type of air sacs, which means now imagine along that dinosaur the size of a skyscraper on its side doing this exact same thing.
these birds are straight out of a movie xD wtf evolution

I live in Sage Grouse country. They are a beautiful bird.

i love the dance idk why
Extraordinarily fancy bird Evolution in this case must've meant that the female sage grouses have the fashion sense for the biggest fur coat and over millions of years they evolved into the way they are now
Never thought I’d be flashed by a bird but here we are
After watching one of Zefrank's videos, I cant unhear "abulba abulbabulba"
wow wee! awesome!
oh my god, this bird is gainaxing.
anybody want to know the name of the song it's called Around the World by Daft Punk
Why did they zoom in like that 😂
If I was a Pokémon I would be this and my attack would be the sonic waves produced from the clapping of my monumental bazongas
so this bird invented twerking *THICC*
Truly bizarre. I love it.
Looks like a pokemon
When I saw there mating ritual I laughed so hard
Awesome
Sounds like dodgeballs but with water also
