The beard hair greying faster than the scalp is very subjective from person to person. It cannot be predicted or generalised. The beard hair will retain the same characterstics even on the scalp. They are also coarse and uneven and that is why we mix them with scalp hair and use them as fillers on the mid scalp.

One can shave off the hair after 2 weeks (approximately) of the transplantation procedure. If the patient scratches the scalp after month of the procedure then there is no harm in it. By a month, the grafts are properly settled and nothing can harm them.

Yes. I meant the transplanyed hair. They can be shaved off. The roots will not be dislodged. It is for the initial 7 days immediately after the transplantation procedure that one must be careful.

We can use hair from the cheeks. The proper punches (sharp and fine) will cause no visible scarring (only microscopic).

If someone is applying Minoxidil on the Transplanted area after a Hair Transplant. is there a possibility that Transplanted Hair Graft may pop out or get damaged because of the massaging movement ?

You can start applying Minoxidil only after a month of the procedure. The transplanted grafts will not be uprooted by the massage motion. Also, you don't have to massage vigorously while applying Minoxidil. Gently spread it and leave it to dry on it's own.

Finasteride is not safe and i will not suggest the use of Finasteride as the side effects are certain and dangerous. Also can you please tell me what if someone first transplant was a failure?? Does that mean that even 2nd will be a failure??

1. Finasteride is safe. Why do you feel its not? 2. No. Just because your first procedure was a failure does not mean that the second will be too. It does not work that way. There are a number of reason why your transplant might not have been successful. A thorough examination and details/history is required to determine the failure of your first procedure.

Yes sir. It is definitely possible to transplant a few amount of beard grafts in the whorl area of the crown if there is absolutely no scalp donor left. However, hair from the sidelocks would be more suitable for the whorl area rather than the beard hair.

Yes sir, body hair can be added when there is a definite need in terms of coverage and density. However, beard is the second best donor after scalp. And rest follows after beard with varying survival rate. So, body hair is not used extensively unless absolutely necessary.

For the hairline and temples - thin, light pigmented, slow growing and singular follicled grafts are appropriate. These grafts are found in the nape of the neck. These hair also have to be permanent. The curl of the hair has to be concave to the skin on the temples. The hairline and the temples have very specific angles that need to be taken care of with great focus and skill. Hair from under the arms, chest hair, pubic hair, thigh hair, arm hair, back hair etc. do not pocess the qualities to be placed on the hairline or temples. They can be experimented with as fillers on the mid scalp. Plus any body hair has a long stangnant phase. The will take a long time to grow after the follicles are shed off. It is important to utilise the back scalp and beard donor areas first and optimise the available grafts intelligently. Body hair donor must be reconsidered and selected with extreme caution as they have a very low survival rate.

No sir. Leg hair, hair from the arms etc do not have a good survival. No the hair taken from the donor area do not grow back. The areas remain empty. However, because the hair are extracted very carefully, there is no thinning visible in the donor area.

The transplanted hair are permanent. The donor area is finite and there are only so many hair that can be extracted to cover the bald areas. The proper approach is to take Finasteride and prevent any further progression of baldness. Androgenetic Alopecia is progressive in nature and thus a person who does not take Finasteride must be prepared for multiple procedures in tbe new areas that keep getting bald. Tbe transplanted area does not require another procedure.

It is true that the new transplanted follicles shed off at least 7 days of the procedure. These transplanted hair start regrowing after the 4th to 6th month. Within 12 months the full density is achieved.

What is the reason of overall hairfall from the body ma'am ? I am having hairfall on head from 2015 and recently i noticed that I am losing hairs from donor area like back scalp,, beard, under arms, pubic area, chest also when i was watching my old pics so notice at beard first. Before these areas were very dense. I planned to go for hair transplant later for head but now since i am losing hairs from these donor areas too so i am worried now :( I do not drink or smoke and also just normal veg foods. Hi Mam! amazingly explained. Unfortnately, i have NW 06 grade baldness and i went to wrong hands and lost almost all my donor scalp hairs. They extracted much(3600 grafts) and implanted less (hardly 1500 grafts or less). Due to the depression from the day 1 after the surgery, i did not maintain and even go for the consultation as well. it's been 6 months. I have few hairs showing up but not with that much density. I feel very bad for my mistakes but i know it can't be undone. I have decent densed beard and chest hairs. Expecting your kind advise. I at least need a low density coverage on my scalp. Thanks in advance! BTW, i too have dandruff as well. Awaiting your advise/suggestions.

Pubic hair can be used for the scalp also sir. But they are used as fillers in the mid scalp and there is a high chance that they might not grow.

Bro, don't go for surgery, go for only hair line designing and for covering the rest area use patch, extraction of too much hair, from the back also looks bad.

Jo baal hum donor se nikalte hain wo wapas nahi aate donor mein. Hum nikalte aise hain ki donor mein difference na dikhe before and after.
