He broke his hand one year he was potentially slated to start and Dwayne Haskins showed out another year when he had to step in for JT Barrett, so he won the job. In a perfect world Bama should have put a good whipping on them. One would also hope that even the second and third string QBs could lead the offense past an opponent and beat them by more than two possessions. Between the team struggling to find itself, poor O line play, poorer QB play, and heavy weather that’s not what happened. Of course NONE of that still explains how scoring 3 and losing by 2 possessions constitutes ALMOST winning.

Y’all remember when Syracuse was 4-0 and statistically the best team in the country?

Not exactly an SU fan, but I definitely wanted to see them win it. I didn't think they'd get throttled by USF. SU will at least have Kyle McCord. I'm a Buckeye and hate to see him go. They got a turnover when it was 7-0, scored on the return, but return TD was wiped out by penalty and then a few players later the muffed snap turned into another USF TD.

Having a number 88 at QB is like having a number 72 pitching….you know it’s only a matter of time before getting hit

Who was the coach for Syracuse during the game? These transition periods are always difficult and chaotic. If Coach Babers was still in charge it wouldn’t have looked like this imho. I kinda feel sorry for the players stuck in the middle. Hopefully next season looks better for the Orange.
