Bobcat CT1021 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid and Filter change

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

pointing out the filters that are changed in the CT1021 hydraulic system and where to drain, fill and check hydraulic fluid level. Also when you put the filters on, tighten them hand tight plus 3/4 turn.

no I only use OEM products on everything I own, I don't want to give the manufacturers any reason to void a warranty

As far as the rear oil goes on another video with a bobcat mechanic they said front diff oil is 75w-90 then they said the same as the transmission differential fluid in the rear that means I’ve found the answer to the elusive question of what grade the transmission differential fluid is that even my dealer couldn’t tell me What u think

Maybe this is just a problem with semantics but I'm not following you because differential gear oil is usually different from Hydraulic fluid. I have heard others say they have successfully used other brands and weights of hydraulic fluid but I don't want to risk a failure of an expensive hydraulic component by trying to save a couple dollars in hydraulic fluid. I'd rather just buy what the factory recommends and not chance it. That's what I think.

@@RunsWithScissors that’s my thought too, fact is it’s frustrating that these manufacturers in this case bobcat can’t just say what the grade is. Obviously they just want you to buy thiers. Plus in the case of the engine oil they are all over place. My manual says bobcat synthetic 5w-40 so send the old lady to the dealer to buy that and they said bobcat doesn’t sell engine oil and to use John Deere 0w-40. They should probably get important things like lubricants a little more dialed in

only if the shield is not all the way back. Mine is all the way back so I have to loosen it and pull it forward. keeping the shield all the way back prevents the dip stick from getting knocked out.

@@rickiebarry9733 Rickie, thanks for watching the video and asking questions, I bought a 5 gallon bucket of hydraulic fluid from my Bobcat dealer and just slowly poured it in until it showed up on the dipstick. It took quite a bit but I think I have at least a gallon or more left in that bucket but not sure how much exactly. The CT1021 Maintenance manual says 3.4 US gallons
