Falst accusers get away scott free too often in the smash scene Too often do people take the side of the accuser too quickly and this has been going on for years, not just in smash

Facts and it’s scary how quick you get banned after an accusation it’s like guilty until proven innocent. Then even with camera surveillance people go out of their way to be extra charitable to the false accuser.

The girl who made this false accusation and all of her friends who "corroborated" the story need to be banned and made an example of. Why would anyone risk going to a Smash tournament if something like this could happen so easily and your life could be ruined? Especially people coming from a foreign country, and you have to deal w/ this whole legal situation not even as an American citizen?? fuck that, I would never risk attending an event. Imagine if she waited a month before making these accusations, and the CCTV footage was deleted? Or there was no security camera footage at all? This would just be he said/she said, and no way the Smash Community would take his side. Honestly anyone attending these tournaments, ALWAYS make sure to be at least one friend 24/7 to wtiness, do not let yourself get into a situation where you are alone w/ a group of girls you don't know very well, they could make a false accusation and ruin your life in 2 seconds, and you could be completely fucked with no witness or CCTV for your side of the story.

When Hbox & Armada we’re in grands of every tournament for so long, eventually players got antsy, leveled up, and things were shook up. I’m honestly confident that will continue to happen. It’s just too popular and long-standing of a game for one person to reign supreme. People just need to calm tf down.

I genuinely appreciate TK's common sense and normal thought process 🤣 smash community (gaming community in general) get way too into their feelings and drop too much shit on the internet. These types of ppl really do think that their opinions should be seen as facts by the masses. Lol yall are not that important. A videogame shouldnt dictate how you view and treat someone. Calm down and keep your shit to yourself.

Fr I love smash and playing in smash tournaments but people keep acting as if this isn't just a game we're playing for fun like chill out 😂😂

TK bringing up the hypocrisy of the Melee community felt vindicating. They hated on HBox and Armada for playing floaties, they wanted to see players with incredible tech skill push the most technical characters to the top. They finally got what they wanted, the perfect Fox player that embodies that mentality, and they can’t stand him. The scene got so stale they had to make drama about how stale it is to bring back any interest. Lmao

All fighting games have player/character hate, but like Armada stopped playing a decade ago and we are still having this exact same conversation.

I believe there is a difference between bullying and teaching people WHY and HOW their actions can affect someone in the WRONG way and how that can be dangerous. 1. IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT IT DONT SPEAK ON IT 2. Stop gatekeeping your "friends" cuz those aren't friends. And 3. We have to keep encouraging positivity regardless, bc then those who are toxic and immature win when those who have overcome such challenges have already moved on and show how thats (being toxic) is weak asf fr.

Wait so what part of the false accuser situation are people mad at cagt for? If anything i think his course of action was very reasonable, he received a SA report, went to the police, got the full story, and the guy who was falsely accused was exonerated. Better that he act immediately because without that surveillance footage sam would have been actually screwed over.

Consider that if he didn't act immediately they would have potentially watched the security footage before submitting the report. It's hard to argue what he should have done in this situation because the accusations were violent and serious though.

Idk if Cagt followed up but that is the issue is (at the time from what I saw that was shared) he didn’t follow up after the report considering HE called the cops lol However his call is fine and people can argue how that call should be handled but if you bring the police involved then you should at least follow up. That’s just me.

Where I was at everything closed at like 11pm-12am. I heard there was a bar district a few miles away but never got out to go check it out so maybe next time but the place i was at was pretty barren on like dive bars or taverns to go to.

Variety and rarity is always good. Those are lesser seen characters so it’s nice to see some fresh faces in top 8 rather than the usual suspects

Kiki needs to be banned for life.

It's never gonna happen but low key Cagt should hire Technicals to be the balance to his slightly reactionary style of handling these kind of stories
