The Bucks real problem all season is their role players are scrubs. Connaughton, Beasley, and Crowder are unplayable. Lopez gets hunted on defense by athletic teams. Bobby is inconsistent and not a good defender. If they had better role players, they still could've won this series. You can't advance in the playoffs if you have too many guys that can't play or aren't consistent enough.

2023 Bucks were strong but we had bad luck in the Playoffs with injuries and Bud grieving his brother. Brook was clearly the best defensive player, Bobby was strong as the 6th man, Jrue was an All-Star, Giannis was top 3 for MVP and the Bucks record was best in the NBA. This season sadly we had some major issues and I don't know if Doc is the man to fix them.

You noticed the Bucks actually pushed the Pacers when Doc played the young guys? They’ve got 3 young guys in AJax, AJ, and Marjon that are at least ok, but very athletic (especially AJax). Shame is that neither Bud or Doc actually play young guys until garbage time or absolute emergency

Middleton stays based on his performance in this series. Obviously give Dame and Giannis a chance to gel this next season. Keep the young'ns (Beauchamp, Ajax, and AJ Green). Everyone else can go. First of all, Giannis and Dame need to spend the off-season figuring out how to play together. It never seemed like they could any find cohesion or connection in the offense. Secondly, they need to get some viable perimeter defenders. A lot of people blame Dame alone for the Bucks' perimeter defense being bad, but that's not the only reason. The Bucks' front office has either let go of or traded a number of other good perimeter defenders like DiVincenzo, P.J. Tucker, and Jevon Carter over the last couple of off-seasons. They should consider trading any 2 or all 3 of Middleton, Lopez, and/or Portis. Their bench really needs an upgrade. As much as I can't blame Doc too much in this case, he never should've been hired as the coach anyway.

Yeah that's definitely #1. Giannis needs to embrace screening or that pairing won't work. PnR, inverted PnR, handoffs... The whole Murray-Jokic package And not just on ball screens but off ball. Giannis has to use his gravity to open up the floor for everyone else. The perimeter defense is easier said than done given the resources available. But the goal should be getting long rangy wings -- two of whom are on the roster in Beauchamp and AJax -- moving to a switch heavy scheme that protects Dame. Maybe you can't have lockdown guys shopping in the bargain bin but just throw enough size and length at teams to muck them up. Basically what Boston did when they had IT. I've been saying trade Brook since 30 seconds after the trade. Brook to OKC, Jerami Grant to Milwaukee, picks to Portland (from OKC) is my favorite framework I'd keep Portis. Relatively mobile three point shooting bigs aren't exactly a dime a dozen. Middleton depends on what you can get. He's not untouchable but his isolation scoring is still really important even with Dame and Giannis. You need to bring back two super high level role players, like Bridges and DFS, or it's not worth moving him. Then you hope that two of Jackson, Beauchamp, Green, rookie A, rookie B and your FA pu pu platter are playable come playoff time.

Anyway who follows the Bucks could see they were losing to good teams under Griffin, and barely beating non playoff teams. With Doc, they weren't healthy but most of their loses were just playing down to their competition. They beat teams like Minnesota, Boston, Denver, OKC under Doc. The Bucks need to free up spots on the bench for 1 or 2 more talented players. Trade Crowder and Gallinari to wing-deficient teams by any means possible, preferably for picks. Even if entails having to offer one od AJ Green or Andre Jackson to make it go through. If they are involved in a trade for a point guard, no other player is to be included in those discussions but Pat C. As is, convert Pat C to 6th man PG and bring Marjon into permanent 9-man rotation. They should also draft a lengthy shot blocker/rebounder this summer in that 10th-man spot, preferably one that has a solid shot. Last but not least do everything to persuade Malik Beasley to sign a contract. Just a few changes I can think of rn but most important PLEASE BE HEALTHY COME PLAYOFF TIME!

When comparing the MVP candidates and winners over the past 6 years the difference is durability and availability. Jokic is by far the best player because he can actually stay on the court. He's played 85 out of possible 88 games so far this year including the post season while putting up crazy numbers. He literally never misses a game. Embiid is virtually always broken down when it matters the most and Giannis has been an injury no show in the playoffs for the last few years.

Lillard has a lot of similarties to trae young, although he is better, the murray trade has not worked out for Atlanta. Lillard and Murray are both ball dominant guards. However Murray would be perfect for the magic, as that team is screaming for a point guard. Marcus Smart can ball SG well, and can play off ball. He is on a reasonable contract too. Bucks have 2 tradable 1st round picks , assuming Lopez and Portis Jr are going to be the tradeable pieces, I think memphis would accept a pick and either one of those two in exchange for Smart. And teams aren’t beating down the door for Crowder either. They’re minimum guys, at can be resigned as such. Pat Bev will probably be begging to come back because he knows the offers are gonna trickle in like a river in the Sahara from NBA teams. Who knows if even the Shanghai Sharks or Puerto Rico will come calling. And unlike the Clippers or the Suns, Milwaukee has a top 5 guy when healthy & Giannis is almost never injured AND he’s not even 30. Best thing for Milwaukee to do is run it back & not panic, invest in their young guys like Beauchamp, & try again. Indy ain’t making the Finals & there’s really nothing to be envious about over there. The Bucks have THE guy-Indy has Pascal Siakam & the oft-injured Halliburton.
