People can say what they want on here. I watched Bobby play Eric in the 1980 final on a Saturday night at Jollees Cabaret Club in Stoke on Trent. Legendary night. That’s where it all started and Bobby was a fine player. He fudged it at the end, when he had his chance to win. Eric became champion and a legend. Bobby became a legend. Two time News of the World champion. Great achievement. Plus the first player to a million spondulees. Bobby made a fortune playing darts in testimonials in Courage pubs. He spread the gospel. Please don’t decry what Bobby did for the game. Furthermore, he was good enough to join the PDC. However, John Lowe didn’t want him in there. Simple as that.

He played with a broken back wearing a steel corset to hold him up! You watch the match and he out scores part but couldn't move properly for the doubles, if his back didnt break im sure the match would of been closer and he probably would of won. The final should of been postponed untill he was well to play plus his x2 news of the world champion which was the hardest tournament to win

A bit of sexism from bobby George 6min mark. Tough for women players cause they gotta be home looking after the husband and the kids. Lost some respect for him

Rolling my eyes......Bobby's not saying woman HAVE to be at home looking after the husband, he's saying that's how it tends to be. You pretend you care about women, but if they don't behave in the way you think they should then you get hostile If women want to stay at home and look after their husbands then its right to do so regardless of what jumped up mini-Hitler's like you think

But see, this is also exactly why I think the BDO would have to stick around. Everyone is talking about how "BDO is finished" (they likely WANT it to end anyway), but It's the only place where many women are truly 'allowed' to play. Many guys may not give a damn about BDO, because *they have the PDC.* Women do NOT have that luxury to strive for (without getting slagged at least anyway). Also even if more could get into the PDC like men do, I can tell that despite all the generally positive and big news talk about Fallon/Suzuki these days, that *collectively*, *men still do NOT want more women in the PDC.* A few women have played in there, yes, but men don't want it to be a regular thing. I see the comments everywhere, so men are NOT fooling anyone with this recent Fallon/Suzuki excitement. Those women can fade away from PDC and most men wouldn't give a shyte. Business as usual.
