@@dinokonik Well yeah. 2,5 mm is ridiculously precise. A bank card is about a mm thick. Normally "a quarter to half a centimeter" you'd just say "2 to 5 milimeter". The 0,5 mm are "lost accuracy".Which is perfectly reasonable, because his cutting accuracy isn't that precise either.

The US uses metric for certain values as well. We have a hybrid system, just like how the UK uses MPH instead of KPH.

Byzantium I know, but in a previous “episode” he said he didn’t know metric. Anyways, in the US I believe we pretty much only use metric for science

What i noticed...is this guy seems to just be like the kid in class that says they understand what the teacher said...then fails the test but at least he tried. His biggest mistakes were the consistency of both the sauce and the batter

Super late: But one thing I noticed is that their biggest issue was measurements. When Flay said "A tablespoon", you see him add in like a solid 2-3 of each cheese. While Shane adds like, barely more than a pinch or two. And that sort of inconsistency in the measuring causes a lot of problems.

No heavy cream is not butter. Heavy cream is milk with a 35% fat content (give or take some fat depending on country)
