0:00 Hello Everyone
01:36 Game Starts!
"The 7th Interzonal took place in Sousse (Tunisia) from October 15 to November 16, 1967. Four of the six forerunners had been organized by Sweden. For the first time a FIDE-Tournament took place in Africa, a remarkable propagandistic success for the FIDE. Out of the 66 member nations only two are from Africa, Tunisia and South Africa. They are integrated into the West European Zone. It is not the fault of the organizers, who have really given their best, that Sousse received great publicity, not only because of the chess deeds, but above all because of the "Fischer case". Robert Fischer, US Champion and one of the best players of our times, but unfortunately bare of sporting spirit and diplomatic ability, opposed himself wholly unjustified to the tournament regulations, which had been bent especially for Fischer and Reshevsky to meet their religious feelings. It seems obvious that such far-reaching concessions - Friday no play, Saturday begin only after 7 p.m., no play on four special Jewish holidays - anticipates also adaptations by the players. Reshevsky honoured the concessions made, Fischer did not. Not even when the secretary of the US Embassy in Tunis reminded him to think himself a representative of the United States. He answered: I am here as a representative of Robert Fischer! After Fischer did not appear three times for play, he had to be eliminated. As sad and regrettable the elimination of Fischer is - maybe he would have become the first non-Russian World Champion since 1948 - it is obvious, that no player, not even the World Champion himself, can put himself above the regulations of the FIDE. Fischer barred himself from becoming World Champion for five years, the title fight after the present cycle will take place in 1972." (p. 5) www.chessgames.com/perl/chess...

I met Sarapu in the early nineties. A local builder liked a game of chess, so there was an annual masters chess tournament in Melbourne comprising young hopefuls, some has-beens with titles, and a sprinkling of foreign players with titles. Sarapu confessed to me that he met two of the criteria. Of course, there were also some fairly decent players (for Australia, which then had a retired {on medical grounds} GM and a few aging IMs). Over the years, Australia got some young IMs and then GMs, and to my surprise, one of the aging IMs in now an aged GM! He was a nice bloke.

People always say Magnus or kasporv could have defeated Bobby Fischer. But the catch is Bobby knowledge was about 10 phd degrees in chess as he had read so many books. The depth of knowledge he had was incomparable. So people will say now we have supercomputer so they could have predicted Fischer moves. But here is a catch. Bobby was a master in psychological warfare. So he could have tricked anyone like he did to many of the champions of his time like tal, spassky etc. So in my understanding in a match of 2-3 games Magnus or kasporv could manage draw or win but in long classical games of 15-20 matches. Both Magnus and kasporv would have run for there life. His genius with madness made him G. O. A. T

    3 күн бұрын

@@peterkoch3777 I respect your point of view but I chose to disagree. I will give my reason in your whole statement about ilo ratings and Magnus getting imho you are talking about a person genius. Let me be even more clear about. Suppose two player are playing chess one is making a move then another is making a move then sure your theory applies that Magnus could defeat Bobby. But the problem with Fischer was that he could have easily said that he would not play the game as his conditions are not fulfilled and call his opponent to his own world like his did to Spassky in the ping pong room . I m not alone talking about knowledge Fischer was knowledgeable + psychological tactician. Magnus, Kasporv are genius at chess no doubt but Bobby was genius in practical life including chess.

Fischer played 1.e4 a l m o s t exclusively ('Best by test'). He deviated from this very rarely, but did so against Spassky in their World Championship match, a couple of times even playing the Queen's Gambit (by transposition).

@@markhughes2556Good Info Bobby was definitely the e4 player I think like you say the quote ‘Best by Test’ referring to e4 opening was Fischer’s how about Tal wasn’t he also an e4 player I think I read he wanted a rule in some tournament he was to compete in that e4 was mandatory or something ?

Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. Please read the whole text. So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God's standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can't let sin go just like that. So is there any hope? Yes, there is. Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned. The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, unlike Jesus's, it only temporarily covered them). Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. Jesus was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our Salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. See: Romans 3:1 , Romans 3:23 , Romans 5:12 , Romans 6:23 , Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-10 , Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV, John 3:16 KJV, Leviticus 17:11 , Ephesians 1:7 , Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 .
