Boba Fett (/ˌboʊbə ˈfɛt, ˌbɒ-/) is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. First appearing in the Star Wars Holiday Special (1978), where he was voiced by Don Francks, he is an armored bounty hunter featured in both the original and prequel film trilogies. In the original trilogy, the character is a supporting antagonist and was mainly portrayed by Jeremy Bulloch and voiced by Jason Wingreen. Notable for his taciturn demeanor and for never removing his helmet, Fett appears in both The Empire Strikes Back (1980), employed by the Galactic Empire, and Return of the Jedi (1983), serving the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. While seemingly killed in Return of the Jedi after falling into a sarlacc, he has since appeared in Star Wars media set after the film, confirming his survival. A preteen Boba is portrayed by Daniel Logan in the prequel film Attack of the Clones (2002), which reveals the character's origins as the genetic clone and adoptive son of Jango Fett, also a famous bounty hunter.
The character also appears in many forms of Star Wars media outside of the films, such as books, comics, television series, and video games, many of which depict him as an antihero rather than a villain, and explore his background, motivations, and morality. Daniel Logan reprised his role as the younger version of Fett in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, while Temuera Morrison, who also portrayed Jango in Attack of the Clones, has portrayed an adult Boba in most of his Star Wars appearances since that film, most prominently in the live-action Disney+ series The Mandalorian and its spin-off series The Book of Boba Fett, the latter of which he headlines, and in which Finnegan Garay portrays a young Fett, with Logan's likeness superimposed over his own.
During the development of The Empire Strikes Back, Fett was originally conceived as a member of a group of white-armored Imperial "supercommandos" before the idea was scrapped in favor of a solitary bounty hunter. This concept later evolved into the Mandalorians, a cultural group with strong warrior traditions, who sport armor and helmets similar to Fett's. In several Star Wars works, Fett himself is portrayed as a Mandalorian, or at least connected to the Mandalorian culture through his armor.
The character of Boba Fett quickly became a fan favorite despite his limited presence in the original Star Wars trilogy, and is now a widely recognized figure in popular culture. His popularity within the Star Wars fanbase has earned him a cult following.
Fett's theatrical film debut was an unnamed bounty hunter in The Empire Strikes Back as the "next major villain" beside Darth Vader.[3] He is one of six bounty hunters assembled by Darth Vader, who promises a reward to whomever captures the crew of the Millennium Falcon. Fett tracks the starship to Cloud City, where Vader captures its passengers and tortures its captain, Han Solo. Aiming to collect the bounty Jabba the Hutt has placed on Solo (established in the original film), Fett questions Vader regarding the carbon freeze, which Vader intends to use on his true target, Luke Skywalker. Vader promises that the Empire will compensate Fett if Solo dies, but the smuggler survives and Vader turns him over to Fett, who leaves to deliver him to Jabba in his ship, the Slave I.
Return of the Jedi features Boba Fett at Jabba's palace on Tatooine, where Han Solo's friends are captured while trying to save him. Fett aims his weapon at Princess Leia (disguised as bounty hunter Boushh).

I built a Slave I before Disney got its grubby mitts on it. Nice job.
Slave 1 is probably my favourite Star Wars ship ever!
It's so silly that people get mad at the original name. Glad you put it in the title. It's just a name and it doesn't imply anything.

The woke mob thinks the the word "slave" is racist. 🙄
Hi. I'm Ken, and I'm a Star Wars geek. I bought the kit based on your review, Chris. The "Han Solo frozen in carbonite" part was not completely molded in my kit. I contacted Round 2, and they sent out a replacement part. Great customer service from Round 2. I did tell them you sent me!
Awesome build!!!...I have the original kit ...on the box its called Slave One.

Awesome mate..please do more starwars kits in future..thnks.
SLAVE 1 4 EVR!
Great build Chris! Happy days and model on! 😎
Great job on slave 1 Chris. Looks like it ready to go up in front of the green screen! Nice use of sock! Not to be confused with a dinning sock the Flying Dutchman would haunt you! Really nice replica.
Always fun to see a Star Wars build. Thanks.
Remember to SMILE it's a hobby and it's suppose to be FUN....
An ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS MASTERPIECE Chris ‼️ Thanks For Sharing n God Bless All 👍👍, Gary.

Nicely done Chris May the force be with you 👍👍
I'm old enough to recall this when it first came out. I definitely enjoyed building it and am glad I still have it... in the attic. Looking at the scale... it's close enough to HO scale that it would be plausible to have it on your layout if you want. "An eccentric gazillion-air built his own spaceship and lives in it full time."
Man I love getting off work, and seeing one of your builds. TY for doing a Star Wars kit.
Absolutely wonderful weathering work on the model. You have really made weathering very simple. Your techniques are easy to follow to produce great results. You continuing to give tutorials on this subject has really allowed to take risks on my models that I would have not even dreamed of doing. Then along with doing that, you give great reviews of all of the models you build. Thanks for continuing to share great reviews and tutoring of various modeling subjects.
Hopefully you'll do the TIE fighter next...good memories of that one from around 5th or 6th grade ....probably bought it at Ben Franklin or JC Penney when they had model kits n toys...damn..good times
Patina on this is B-E-A-utiful!! Now I gotta order one. Thanks!' Great job Boba Fett's Slave Ship!!!
Another great job modeling but the Boba Fett space craft reminds me of a giant clothes iron.

I have the Revell Slave One and it was the best model I ever bought. It came with glue and paint and the introductions were very clear and in color which made it a breeze to paint
wow what a very cool kit really turned out great
Although I’m not into Star Wars I still injoy watching for your tips, still it looks cool 👍🇦🇺
Kind of want to get two, one for Boba and one for Jango. Awesome work as usual, man.
Beautiful!
Nicely done!
I own the same model, but different box and same company with MPC/AMT-ERTL. In happy with this model next to Boba Fett BOBF black series as a display. Now I want to get a Razorcrest model kit for my next display.
You did one of your better efforts on this one. Very cool.
Just wanted to comment and say thanks to your videos I have branched out and started to build other types of kits, not just cars or miniatures. It's been a lot of fun with the variety and my skills have noticeably improved. Thanks a ton for covering such a wide variety of stuff!!

...featuring the hpiguys Workshop scale model, full size weathering sock. Guaranteed to be used AND to not be an entire sock. For an additional fee we will NOT include any of the elastic tube parts of the sock - otherwise you'll need your own scissors. Your wallet will immediately notice the difference (missing THIS much money for a used sock) and your skills are sure to remain unchanged. Nice build, Chris - yes I've ordered my detailing sock.

We charge extra to custom cut the sock. $19.95, but you can enroll in our finance program and pay it off at only $1.95 per day plus finance fees and interest of course.
In the show, Boba Fett calls the ship his “Firespray Gunship”. Funny MPC calls it a “starfighter”! 🤔🤔
@TI4438

Firespray is the class of ship.
Thank you for calling by its correct name.
Nice job sir. I have never seen that top hatch on slave 1, sorry but I refuse to call it the starfighter
Doesn't look like Round 2 updated anything on this kit but that's OK! Great job & video!!

How do you touch up the parts when you have to remove them from the tree or where the alligator clips are holding a part that will be seen? You have already primed it and put the final color on them. Do you just hit it lightly off camera with the final color after they have been removed from tree or the clips are moved to a different spot?
@hpiguy

If it's needed a little touch up with a brush in a similar tone takes care of it.

As the video says, you can post on the Facebook page for hpiguys Workshop. I don't have time to tutor individual builds for people but if you make a post in the community people can assist you.
The proportions on this kit are all wonky. The "Skirt" flares out way too wide and the "wings" are tiny
Hate them for changing the name

The woke mob loves it though. 😜🙄
Hopefully the "woke mob" doesn't try to cancel you for using the real name of Boba's ship. 😜
