I discovered this little gem of a shop about 10 years ago. Fantastic craftsmanship. I'd never take my bike anywhere else now. Marvellous film capturing the essense of John and the shop.

If you visit John, please please tell him he can never retire! Easily the best wheelbuilder in the business, and such a nice bloke.

I hope mom and pop shops like this never disappear In the US, it seems we have the same strip mall on every corner, leased out to lame corporate establishments. Each one is bright and flashy, yet no soul or passion exists behind those walls. This video showcases the type of shop where you find the guy that has seen it all and always has that odd ball part you need at a price you can't refuse. Old school will always be the underdog but there is a good reason it still exists.

Thank you for making this film. This shop is legendary in Leicester and John is a lovely guy. I've been going there since the 1970s!

Hi, I'm Frank Elliott's son, I think we met when I was very young, before dad went off to open the shop in Glenfield. Great memories of this time and the not so good ones of trying to deal with Mrs Warners jack russell.

I grew up on St Peters estate in highfields, from early 70s till about '1983 - I was one of a huge Gang of kids on BMX bikes! - and you always knew if you took your bike to Bob Warner's, he could fix it -Really great to see the shop is still there!

This is what a cycle shop is all about, a real cycle shop with a real knowledgeable craftsman, superb, and hard to find these days, nice and friendly, and the shop looks rammed with every part imaginable, I recognize myself a little, please pop the address up, i would like to visit the shop one day. keep it going, great work, well done, Not like the majority of high street superstores that only sale you something because it has a trendy new logo, by a store owner whose not very talented.

Yes, an old school craftsman and gentleman----he built my Norton wheels 5 years ago and still run as true today-----Julie are you any relative to David?

Yes, if a wheel is built correctly, with love and attention, they hardly ever go out of true. Unless, of course, they take an unusual great big bang.
