Is was a FM radio simulcast done by WXRT in Chicago. I was listening to this at home and sadly did not attend. This is one of best recordings of Bob and the Wailers ever made. Six years later, I saw Steel Pulse at this venue on their first Chicago visit.

This version of Trench Town Rock is also nice. The pace is as Bob likes.

Greetings from Kenya bob and the wailers made some wonderful music

What people do not realize is this is one of the few recording with Lee Jaffe on harmonica as he was the harp player on the errantly tilled Natty Dread. (It was supposed to be titled Knotty Dread). I always missed the harmonica on Bob's following albums and concerts. It gave a country aspect to his music. Man the harp makes it.

Borax Anhydre That room has a lot of history, from Smashing Pumpkins to Steve Goodman, The Stones with Muddy Waters, Gang of Four and Bruce Springsteen. But this may have been i it's finest hour.

lol, yeah, saw Bruce Springsteen playing there when I was helping a friend scout for a headline band to hire for a party in Hyde Park. I told him not to hire Bruce because no one would like him, too wordy ..... that convinced me I will never be good at judging public musical taste.

Really a great find. Saw Bob Marley in Chicago in the mid 1970s, Possibly this show. (Weird triple bill Golden Earring and the Kinks, who were releasing School Boys in Disgrace, were the first two acts.)
