Ziggy Marley has been over looking the whole project and has been on set during the filming, So for that reason alone i am so hyped for this , if Bobs son is involved you know it will be as true as it can be! 💚💛❤

I’m really Looking forward to the movie. The casting looks great. Scenes look authentic. Director Reinaldo Marcus Green is the same guy from King Richard, so you know this movie is going to be emotional

All bio pics are very tough to pull off. I hoped that they get THIS one right because Bob is on my Mt. Rushmore of artists. It LOOKS promising and whoever put the teaser/trailer together knows what they are doing. It sells the movie. I imagine more trailers will come and we will get an even better feel for how this will feel.

For reference, Ziggy Marley and Bob's family were present every day on set to coach the lead actor and make sure he got it right. I think this will be on the level of Ray biopic-wise, fingers crossed

@GoliathWarfare Yeah I saw an interview with Kingsley explaining that and knew the Marley family was involved and have given their blessing. Most of the doc about Bob to this point are stories told with real footage of him and his life. This is the Hollywood version where the famous and infamous "based on a true story" come into play . Meaning how much liberty for entertainment value did Hollywood take.

@@AJimiDigginKat true, fictionalized depictions of real people will sometimes take liberties or leave certain things out for dramatic purposes, but I'm sure the spirit of who Bob was will come through on screen with Ziggy and his family serving as producers - it's usually the producers that end up adding the Hollywood elements but with them involved, all parties have to be on the same page for the movie to get made.

CAN'T WAIT! From Bob's 57th birthday in 2002 until his 60th in 2005, I organized and hosted 54 free and non-commercial One Love Events in Jamaica. Here is 8 minutes of our event on Bob's 60th streamed to over 2 million on the island: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aW2Jm5mMn9Ozpaw.html. I worked with his daughter, Stephanie, his Mother MamaB, and over 30 other well-known Jamaican "teachers of love" to reinforce force his core message which was weakening on his home island.

I expected worse! (This seems to be romanticizing). However, the production of the images is beautiful, as is the reproduction of the scenes we know, which looks well done: (even if we only glimpse a few seconds in the trailer) ... I liked the musical I saw about Bob Marley --> Get Up Stand Up: The Bob Marley Musical (although I'm the kind of person who loves biopics, and I'm still not sure whether one should be made about Bob Marley or Amy Winehouse) ... The story deserves to be told, so we'll see. Normally, I like the lead actor. But here, I'm having a really hard time imagining him as Bob Marley, you can already tell they've softened the Jamaican patois a bit by changing the sentences so that everyone understands! I'm also having trouble with the fake dreads wig. The story of Bob Marley and his family is a movie in itself! I hope it won't be too romanticized for the cinema ...

As a Jamaican I will say Kingsley Ben-Adir’s accent does not sound authentic & he doesn’t look or sound like Bob. I believe Kymani would’ve been a better choice. That being said, visuals, music & story line seem good. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
