This will a real collectors item down the road - the Vinyl version is the one to get- packaging is stunning as usual!
The second poster, Dylan with guitar on stage, was included in the first edition 'Bob Dylan At Budokan' in 1978. I know because I bought it then 😀

My poster has been on my wall for years!
This particular box set is one for the completists only, I think, no matter how well presented its contents are. It is what this box set is NOT that matters most. It is not a deep dive into the World Tour '78, or of Dylan's embrace of showbiz through a set of radically reworked and transformative arrangements of his back catalogue.
Thanks for sharing..
Regarding the Japanese text, I shall photograph it on my phone with Google Translate to English. 🇯🇵
I will hold out for the cd.
Would love to get the vinyl edition
Re the expensive price. The 1978 version was also a costly import, when many deemed it to be 'not particularly good'. The 1978 release was satirised at the time in the NME by a cartoonist called Ray Lowry. He depicted a 1950s young and normal American couple, the woman says to the man 'Darling we can afford our very own import album!' in imitation of the American car adverts of the 1950s.
Two lp set for me …sometimes a taster is better then the main course.😊
I’m with Paul, I reckon a 4CD book or Digipak will follow on from this…
Read somewhere there's a 2cd set of highlights from these new Budokan recordings coming out, but no idea when. This big set seems way overpriced but I might consider getting the 2 disc version if that's not too expensive too.

I thought the same but there is only a double vinyl. A two cd would be half the box set (they usually put out six CD box sets) so I can't see them releasing a double CD for obvious reasons. Robin Witting

@@robinwitting2023 there is going to be a CD version of “Another Budokan” in Q1 24
How limited is this set?
I am good with my 2LP £30 set, I can stream the rest in hi res
I find it a bit strange to have a hardcover book for the CD's and a softcover book for pictures and text. I thought the other way around would be better...?
I bought it. Yes overpriced. It would have been nice to get to get a bootleg series on the 78 tour. The LP was my first Dylan LP when it came out. Have never looked back need all the stuff.

I was expecting similar; the later shows in the tour got better and better. Robin Witting

A new CD in Japan is priced at around $ 25,- And this is an import from Japan. I got my copy in the Netherlands for € 140. Some shops ask a lot more than that.

@@dijkbthe “Japanese import” is just a salestool. It’s simply pressed in EU. The price in Japan of an actual Japanese pressing is the same though Y24.000 and LP Y44.000 as here in The Netherlands. Still the price is absolutely insane for 4 discs, two double cd’s and a book. It looks lovely but €100 would had been more realistic yet also steep. €140 (and also seen prices of €180!) is insane. For that price I sadly have to choose to listen to it on Spotify!

Y24.000 is $159.00, give or take a fistful of $ . You buy expensive CD's. 😆@@pieterbalk-ht7kq

So he can film it for potential buyers to see.
As nice as these deluxe boxsets are, the prices of some are getting out of hand. I love Dylan but this set is ridiculous at £190, doesnt look that impressive
Can’t post a photo but it definitely NOT a Japanese import release but a dirty sales trick to ask more money for a (btw excellent) boxset or LP. They are produced and printed in Germany and the EU. And could be they were produced there, shipped to Japan, had an obi assembled to it and shipped back but I highly doubt it. The vinyl version sounds pretty good for a modern vinyl release although it lacks, as often these days, the punch, nuance and detail of the original At Budokan pressing.
outrageously overpriced .
Way overpriced and I pre-ordered in all formats on day it was announced.
