When people say bob Dylan can’t sing I want to strangle them. Even when he uses more nasal in his voice, he still hits the right notes and carry the tune. If you don’t like the tone of his voice, that’s your opinion. But you can’t say he’a bad at singing. Anyways, bob has done so much in this career and has so many different styles. It’s amazing and I wish more artists were open to trying new things instead of staying in their own box. Amazing performance by bob Dylan!🤍🤍🥰

So you must speak 500 languages to make such a declaration. You mean 'in the English language'. And Dylan is greater than Shakespeare because he explores deep states, while S. was a dramatist. Dawrin said that he tried to read S. dozens of time and each time felt nauseated. Cause it's 'theatre'. Dylan is a poet.

That’s what happens when you sell your soul to the devil. You have to give up everything for a measly 80 years and other soulless people telling you you’re great and then nothing. I suspect Dylan actually has deep deep regret of his actions. Bought the album back in my twenties. This song stood out among many good ones. His singing seemed to me to be more exotic than previous work - but I've never been part of the criticism of his vocals. He does it his way, and can't be copied. As for his lyrics, he deserves a Nobel prize.

LOVE IT!!! A magical and haunting song from the master of song (and dance!!!).
The entire Desire album is incredible.....one of the things lost today where people just buy the hot tune and download it, they miss out on possible gems of the album not being touted by the record companies.....I can't tell you how many times I bought albums for a song, and later, that song wound up being my 3rd or 4th favorite on the album. On this album, check out the story of Isis.....or his then current love interest, later to be ex wife, Sarah.....actually, every song.....Dylan was giving advice to another writer in Greenwich Village, and told him "Take them over the hills and into the valleys" meaning, get very specific with the stories.....paint a beautiful picture with the words. When you listen to a Dylan song, you may as well be saying you are watching it, because like a great book, they always create a movie going through your head with a full storyline with the mind allowed to visualize the characters.

I was thinking the same! The images are there, just put the shit out. And not just on Netflix, on youtube, dvd, blueray, whatever. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy the CDs

There's an expression, less is more... this is what we have here. There is such a thing as too much is just simply too much.

@@steveblease When I first got into Dylan there was more possibility of seeing him actually live on stage than any film of him on stage.

Lyrics Lyrics Your breath is sweet Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky Your back is straight, your hair is smooth On the pillow where you lie I don't sense affection Nor no gratitude or love Your loyalty is not to me but to the stars above One more cup of coffee for the road One more cup of coffee before I go To the valley below Your daddy, he's an outlaw And a wanderer by trade He'll teach you how to pick an' choose And how to throw the blade He oversees his kingdom Where no stranger does intrude His voice it trembles as he calls out For another plate of food One more cup of coffee for the road One more cup of coffee before I go To the valley below Your sister sees the future Like your momma and yourself She never learned to read or write There's no books upon her shelf And her pleasure knows no limits Her voice is like a meadow lark But her heart is like an ocean So mysterious and dark One more cup of coffee for the road One more cup of coffee before I go To the valley below Thank you
OH ROBERT ZIMMERMAN WHAT WE HAVE DONE WITHOUT YOU THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH LOV MR DYLAN
I saw Dylan perform this song in Brisbane, Australia in 1976. I remember both this song and Hurricane had big conga drum solos in the middle. I remember Bob Dylan was playing a white Fender Strat. It was a great gig, much louder than I expected.
Iconic!!! Saw this concert in Vancouver, Canada in the Seventies. What a show!!! Scarlett was amazing!!! ❤️
vocally B.D. is very nimble in phrasing pitch and constantly underrated. He could have been a great jazzoid if he hadn't decided to reinvent the pop/folk literary song book. thanks for that Bob, and cheers from Vancouver!
After having listen to several covers of this songs, and even very good ones....the conclusion is definitely Nobody sings Dylan like Dylan !
What great footage of a piece of music history.
Just perfection ❤️
I loved this music documentary. I t affected me so deep, that sometimes I felt as participating in

NOTHING LIKE BOB DYLAN WILL COME AGAIN
Saw him in gainesville in 76 .. still get chills from this song ..he sang it in whiteface
I went 2 the rolling thunder review at nyc madoson square garden in dec.1975.great concert.1 of the best.I also attended woodstock in 1969.The atlanta rock fest.in 1970.this was as momorable
Everyone talks of Scarlet River’s violin playing on the song which ofcourse is exquisite, but the bass playing on this song is so damn fine. It makes the song work the way it does.
Powerful and haunting. Full of mysticism.
I used to jam this song with my dear friend Steve, I provided the heartbeat with percussion. Steve would put so much heart and soul into this song. Steve and I met busking in my home town and became great friends...R.i.p. buddy. :(
I get an adrenaline rush watching dylan sing this song like he's peeking over a fence or hedges to chew someone out or get his point across. Like a leader...love the all out effort.
Desire Is one of my favourit LP's, Top 10, this performance was magic.
Scarlet Rivera put the icing on this cake!
Thank you ,Ruby, for turning me on to this album,so many years ago....I wish you well
I fucking love this song's mood, aura or however you want to call it. This might be the best Dylan period. Even his voice is great, with that kinda rusty sound or pitch. Those were great years for him (1974-1977)
