Around 50 years ago, we had a neighbor who worked as an ER Nurse in Bellvue Hospital in New York. One week, she agreed to trade off-days with a colleague. On one of those off days our neighbor worked, another young lady walked into the ER around four in the morning seeking some treatment...and she was accompanied by none other than Bob Dylan. He didn't say much as our neighbor administrated treatment to the young lady, even though our neighbor was star-struck over meeting her musical idol. But on their way out, our neighbor confessed, "Mr. Dylan, I realize this may not be the most appropriate setting for you to hear this, but I've been a fan of yours since the beginning. I own ALL of your albums." Appropriate setting or not, Bob blew our neighbor off in the most dismissive manner imaginable. More of a mystery than Easter Island, the Egyptian Pyramids, or Stonehenge is how this talentless hack CONTINUES to have people line up to FALL ALL OVER HIM gushing with compliments of his work. "Weird Al" Yankovic really summed up Mr. Dylan's entire body of work in his HILARIOUS parody, "Bob."

He’s actually underrated and if you actually take the time to listen, he’s truly brilliant. He’s sold millions of records worldwide. Probably more than Stevie Wonder. Bob Dylan’s music has had a far deeper impact on social changes than Stevie Wonder. Stevie never really said anything dangerous. He never put himself out on that limb bare naked as Dylan has. Your problem is that you simply don’t understand who he is and what he has achieved in the music industry. Thankfully, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Quincy Jones did and understood the value of having an artist as great as Bob Dylan involved in the project. You see, they didn’t forget, or overlook the risks he took during the Civil Rights era of the early 60s. It didn’t mean shit to people like you, but it meant a lot to them at the time.

@@jonathanwaswrong3917 Once again, it’s your own ignorance that keeps you from understanding. For example, in 1966 a well known, and controversial middleweight boxer Ruben “Hurricane” Carter was set up by the police in Paterson, New Jersey on a triple homicide that he had nothing to do with. He was convicted and spent years in prison before finally being released. Nobody from the Black community or anyone else came to this man’s defense. Bob Dylan wrote a song about it that became a huge hit and brought awareness to this man’s injustice. That’s not engineered. That wasn’t forgotten when he was chosen for the We Are The World project. The other thing that shows how much of a dick you are is that you don’t show any other singers working on their part. You’re very disrespectful and unfair. That’s your father’s fault and failure to not teach you how to think and be more careful before making a fool of yourself in front of the world.

He wrote maybe a dozen songs that will endure over time but some of his earlier stuff is cringey, psychotic gibberish that passed for poetry.
