Mick Taylor was on slide, Mark Knopfler on lead, Benny Tench on keyboards, Sly on drums, Robbie on bass. Bob on rhythm guitar, harmonica, and vocals. Originally, Dylan approached Frank Zappa to produce this album. It ended up being produced by Mark Knopfler. Thanks Harri for coming through with the studio version.

The final track from his 1983 album, "Infidels", this was produced by Dylan and Mark Knopfler. This was the return to more secular music and Bob making his career more viable again. Although sounding like a love song, Bob tries to convince the girl not to break up with him by praying on her paranoia of surviving without him. A great tune with great harmonica, guitars, and Bob's vocals. Maybe the heat Harri. ❤ Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and John. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

Hi Harri, just caught this one and decided it was high time to let you know just how much fun I have watching you discover my idol the great Bob Dylan. I follow world politics quite closely and as I’m sure you know things aren’t going well for Mother Earth! I’m also the mother of a 23 year old daughter who happens to be gay and a new university graduate. Needless to say I worry a lot. When I need a break from doom scrolling i check out your channel. I’m always in a good mood after a couple of your videos. Shout out to your patrons and community they have great taste. So thanks Harri for sharing your love of music and positivity.❤🇨🇦

This felt like a “No Woman, No Cry” inspired song from the beginning. The tempo, Sly Dunbar on the bass, the organ, and then the chorus had some resemblance of “No Woman, No Cry” too. I’m surprised you didn’t notice that actually.

Great choice and information, great closing track from another career highlight album. I love the harmonica, the rhythm section (partly a bit too precise/80s, almost like a drum machine) and of course the guitars. The stereo production just begs you to guess who's playing which guitar - Mick Taylor can be heard clearly (a huge loss to The Stones, their own fault). Apparently Mark Knopfer played very differentiated and with this song sometimes only in the background. He already played with his drummer Pick Withers on the album Slow Train Coming 1979 (e.g. Precious Angel). Thanks also to JohnChu300 for his information.

Retrospectively: the video 2❤ is brilliant and gives the musicians' resolution. Bob's voice gets more color from the fantastic musicians but still stays in the foreground, really well and "sensitively"vproduced.

What is Bob Dylan up to recently? I give quoted youtube search strings. IMHO the Shadow Kingdom is peak Dylan. The following link is certainly the trigger that caused Bob to finally cover the song. "Jakob Dylan ~ Into the Mystic - The Ramkat - W-S, NC. 4/19/23" "Bob Dylan - Into The Mystic. Alicante, Spain. 15 June, 2023" "Van Morrison Into The Mystic" posted 7 years ago by Tim O'Flea Bob Dylan 2023 re-recording on album Shadow Kingdom What Was It That You Wanted 34 years after it was first release in 1989 "What Was It You Wanted Shadow Kingdom" 1989 "Bob Dylan - What Was It You Wanted (Official Audio)"

This song was cool, and had that Bob Dylan vibe, although it was a little different than his other songs. Actually, all his songs are! It also hit me with Bob Seger vibes almost as soon as it started.

Nob Dylan has the same Ascent of Scorpio like my Dad. My Dad always want me to be strong, like Nob Dylan:s title of this song, so that I will always be around to give him emotional support. Scorpio is all about 8yj house matters - drawing strength from your close ones.
