If you were a TV junkie in the 70's and you watched all of the talk shows on a regular basis, you knew who Bob Anderson was. When my Mom and I knew he was going to be on The Tonight Show or the Merv Griffin Show, etc., we considered it a treat and something to get excited about. Bob's Tom Jones impression is the Gold Standard. Even today, Bob is probably the "best kept secret" among singing impressionists--but those who have seen him on TV or live, know what a talent he is.

Now, _that's_ what I call music! Thank you, Mr. Anderson, for keeping the Crooners alive for the modern world. Doing audience suggestions is obviously always going to be a bit risky for any performer (which I'd like to believe accounts for that very misguided Elvis bit), but when it's also with a full-on band that has to keep up on the fly?! - This is just seriously impressive!

Bob Anderson is a living encyclopedia of American Songsters and truly born with an astonishing gift. To be an impressionist of song goes far deeper than just being a singer. One must be a three dimensional singer as versus a mere singer to do what Bob does. In this measure, it is three times as hard if not four to do what Bob is doing. I also thank him for his service to our country as he served in Nam. I am a little younger than Bob and served as a Marine in that era. I salute Bob for his pursuit of excellence and showing us you can have a good time doing it ! Semper Fi ! A friend always !

One of the best show business stories ever. I don’t know how I never heard of this guy before. What a thing to mimic such legends and have them all love it, although it looked in that clip like Tony Orlando wanted to tie a yellow ribbon around the singer’s neck the way he started to charge the stage. Man, that takes guts to get up on stage in front of all those stars. Too much parody would be offensive and you could easily take things too far and piss them off. He knows the boundaries. His genius is knowing just how to play them all.

Thank you so much for your kind answer. Funny, it's the opposite for me: I have performed in France - even at the Lido, I'm sure you've heard of 😁 - but not in other European countries, not in US, and of course not in Vegas ha ha 😅 By the way, here is a possible explanation: the French culture (I mean 'knowledge') is not that open to this kind of singers and songbook. I'm a singer & impersonator too, and the Frank Sinatra's closest sound-alike in France. Can you imagine that I've been asked (by some people around 40-50 y.o.) who he was?!! More than once. Unbelievable! It's a pity we can't welcome a huge artist like you here... But I'll keep on enjoying your performances on videos and on your website I promise. You are just amazing! Merry Christmas to you Bob.

I commented on another Bob Anderson video on KZread, and I don't mean to belabor the point, but the talent on display here is unmatched today. The singing impressions featured in this particular clip not only amaze me from the perspective of accuracy, down to minute details found in a singer's personal style, but the singing itself is incredible. I'll put it this way. They say a painter is able to use his or her brush to create a beautiful painting because he or she sees light in a way that the vast majority of us don't and can't. An impressionist like Bob Anderson must have a fantastic voice, of course, but he wouldn't be able to do what he does without also having a highly sensitive and sophisticated ear. He hears the nuances, and recreates them, in a way very few people can match. Last, watching this clip takes me back, like a time machine, to the days when real singers entertained us wherever we went, whatever we were doing, and whatever we watched. That doesn't happen today, and I'm just happy Bob Anderson took the time to upload this video. I got old, but his ability to capture the magic of countless legends did not.

Jeff...I want to thank you so much for your finding of the extreme care and accuracy that I try to deliver when taking on the finest singers that I have ever heard. Becoming that person is an extremely difficult thing to do, especially if you are seriously trying to do just that, and not just making funny close calls to get the listener to figure out who it is. But I'm just seriously thanking you for the words you stated in your writing. I am very fortunate to have been given the voice that I have. And because of all of this, I became really good friends with all the artists I am doing still today. Sinatra, Bennett, Andy Williams, Johnny Mathis, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Mel Torm'e, Jack Jones, Joe Williams, Buddy Greco, Tom Jones and a few more. I would like to send something for you to look at in our computes. I think you would really enjoy it. If you would type (Bobanderson.com) you will see a brochure of a lot of my work. Then go the the end on the writing across the top that says SIGH UP and that is how I can get your email address and I will send another brochure that I want to send you that tells it all. But, I can't give my email address on this page without getting lots of emails in return. If this is something you would like to see, I will be happy to send it along. OK...Merry Christmas and thanks again for your kind words.

He called that Elvis?!! Elvis never moved like that in his life and didn't have an accent like that either - Elvis had a great voice, especially doing It's Now or Never! His Elvis was awful. No one ever gets it right, which is a real tribute to the real thing - the one and only!

His Louis Prima was fantastic And he is a hoot as Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson. Sammy Davis was also really spot on as was Garth Brooks.

Wonderful performances and such vocal Talent! This guy got a lucky break to showmanship on a platter, his talent took him straight to the stars, and the right ones to promote him. Its like they took him under there wing like Mike Douglas, Johnny Carson big TV greats He hung out with all the Vegas crooner classics so cool. I only wished I could have seen him in person, in Vegas dang, how did I miss him?? I'm in my 60's his now just seeing his act lol. I see he was going strong on the Vegas strip back 80's 90's love all his impressions of the Rat Pack. Sad to say I'm just finding out about him now as well as many others. I see. But thanks Bob Anderson for keeping the memory of these greats alive! Gob Bless.
