Boat Recovery | Easy Rotator Work

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Quick and easy recovery. These two guys are great people, both Vietnam vets. We decided to do this job extremely cheap for them, felt bad for their situation and also thank them for their service. Enjoy this quick recovery!

Two happiest days in a mans life are when he buys a boat and when he sells it. I can’t believe someone didn’t beat Me to posting this.

Yup, never release the trailer winch before the trailer wheels touch the water.

Yea... Roller trailers are a pain. Can't let the winch loose before you're in the water or they'll roll right off like this.

Could you have put snatch block on white hook with the sling and put blue hook rope thru block with another sling around front of boat?

Hate roller trailers. End up doing 2 or 3 of these a year. No way to get a big truck on the ramp. Just end up using a few floor jacks and blocks of wood and usually under 20 mins back on the trailer

Put a lot of stress on the rotator with that lift :-) Quick question, why do you extend the outriggers when lifting something that only weighs 2,000 pounds??? The Rotator is around 60,000 pounds, right? Great job by the way! Those guys had to be embarrassed, but you made it a pleasurable experience for them!

A small weight with a lot of leverage can still move a rotator. So best practice is to make the footprint as wide as possible regardless of the load. Also lifting of that corner is the lowest capacity area they can lift from.

Alot easier and safer to put them out before the lift, rather than lifting something and then having an OH f**k moment because the stabs weren't out
