I was raised on the largest lake in NH so have driven a boat. My grandfather had a thin cigar type boat. Woo woo. we had to crawl over the purring Higgins engine to get in the back. Out in the broads we learned real quick you just don’t never hit a wave head on cause the boat can flip. Even I knew that.

Absolutely! This inlet has always sketched me out more than any other. The raging current and 90 degree turn is intense on a busy day. Get more shots of the boats coming from the bridge to the turn, it's narrow and dangerous!

That one guy had it timed just right coming back in. Into the waves fellas.

Due respect goes to the skipper as well. Definitely a pilot that knows how to read the waves and use them to his advantage.

Yes I would like to see more from boca inlet !! When I was a kid I used to work on a 40ft rybovich out of the boca raton hotel and club ... the boat had twin 528 gas burning tank motors ... I would say those were the best days of my life while I was working that boat.. maybe one day I will be able to do it again...

The invincible cat hit it like there were no waves. Impressive

The guy in the invincible is the only one who did it right. I grew up going out that inlet since the 80’s. You cut a hard right,hug the south jetty,and speed inside that shallow bar and then head out

That Smith 45 is a nice looking thing. And the Fountain. Those old school powerboats are really cool

The Angler at 4:05 got in flawlessly! That was smoooooth!

That ski at the end🤦‍♂️🤣🤣 he got on it and looked like he was gunna start it up in 2 foot of water with all that seaweed in the water lol if he didn't suck up any small stones he wud of been very lucky not to suck up any of that weed...! He carnt of paid for a new impeller yet cos after u do u always push it out into 3 ft of water as least🌊💪🌊🌊🌊 excellent work sir👌👌 just wot I needed after a hard days work.. love from bridlington boatyard England 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊😘

The Boston Whaler at 8:29 had definitely done this before. LOL

It amazes me that some of the smaller boats feel that it’s absolutely necessary to go out that inlet and just loaded down with people onboard. Most aren’t even fishing.

Everyone talking about the big boats but that sea tow came in like a boss. Came in on a diagonal trough then as he got out of it cut the wheel and came in on the following sea.

You should do one episode at Sebastian inlet on a busy weekend, it's one the nastiest inlets in Florida.

I am not familiar whit this type of inelet in the Adriatic or Mediteranian. What is your oppinion on for best model of navigation to the sea and from the sea back? Thanks

I like to decide what day I go boating. Hurricane offshore days I stay home.

Why am I not surprised that the guy running the SeaTow RIB seemed to negotiate the wave action more smoothly and deftly than anyone else; quartering the following sea and matching speed like it's nothing.

This is nothing compared to the hurricane I was caught it years ago 96 miles from land in a 50' fiberglass fishing boat. When you can't see the top of the waves it's a tad bit scary

Ahhh the hazards of an inept captain who doesn't know the formula: Throttle + Waves = safe passage. The captain on the Angler did a great job. He knows the limitations of his small craft, considered the tide, current, and wind, and adjusted his throttle and direction to make it as safe as possible.

When I see that wave crest higher than the bow on some of those smaller boats, I’m like uh oh.

I love that Invincible craft, but not sure about the name? Kind of tempting mother ocean to see if it lives up to its moniker.

1:40 how much can a boat flex before sustaining damage? When that Cobalt landed on the aft keel, it looks like the bow bends forward.

Holy crap you’re right. I didn’t notice that the first time - the whole bow the boat looks like it bends WAY down. Is that an optical illusion or is that real???

@@ystebadvonschlegel3295 It's real. The boat is designed with a curve in the bow, probably for better aero or hydrodynamics, or just looks. The boat probably can take much rougher impacts, but I surely don't want to know the limit, lol.

Ystebad VonSchlegel I watched it a couple more times. I think the cushion in the bow moved giving the illusion of hull flex.

That dude in the Sportsman needs to grow a pair and throttle that thing up !!!

Thats a tricky inlet alright. Bit of a test of skipper and boat. Im not sure id stay dry in my boat at this place. At least its warm.

This inlet seems more intense, with the turn n stuff
