This is like having a armored parade going through a city. Those locomotives must be very powerful to haul so many.

62nd Engineer Bn (Heavy) and the M1s had no bumper numbers and fresh paint, so there is a good chance they were being sent from depot to Ft. Hood as replacement vehicles or upgrades.

It's hard to believe they still use 113's. Those things are dang near indestructible and fun to ride around Germany in.

Thats gotta be an amazing sight in person.

Awesome video of the special military train. But what caught my my attention was the M-113 APC's. I remember seeing a Union Pacific military train at Barstow Station, Barstow, Ca.

Excellent video! One of the Best of a Military train I've seen. Lots of modeling ideas.

There is no other way to move such heavy equipment hundreds of miles, convoy's aren't good with tanks.

Wow! Great video. Hard to tell what kind of units are on that train. Looked to be a bridge unit in the opening shots, and near the end a tank battalion/engineer. Far cry from the equipment they had when I was active duty in the 70's.

Nothing wrong with Humvees. YES we have replacement ideas but there is nothing wrong with still using them. ON the battlefront we have the MRAPS. BUT those are not practical for some areas to be running around on the streets unless they really need to be in the frontlines no matter where those frontlines are. But right now HV are perfect for running around in both on and off base..

Ya never get over watching our military move even if it is just the equipment. I realize trains don't have cabooses anymore, STILL I'd have one on military equipment trains just to keep an eye on the train full of equipment from both ends. Maybe even one in the middle. You just never know the kind of nutjobs there are out there.
