BNSF/CP Sweet Grass Grain trains in Montana

These CP Grain trains come across the border from Canada and venture into the US through Sweet Grass, MT. BNSF then takes control of these trains and takes them down to Central California and points west. There's always a chance to catch some foreign CP pool power on these trains, I got lucky this time. Enjoy!

This is odd. Why would CP route this via BNSF? Normally grain trains destined for the US go via Crowsnest Pass on CP and then UP takes them from there at Eastport. Mind you those trains are normally destined for Washington, but UP could then take the grain train south from Portland to California.

Many of these Grainers go to Guernsey, CA on the BNSF Network, Not UP. BNSF Interchange with CP at Sweet Grass has been busy.

@@Trains232 I did a stint out of Lethbridge for a while back a day ago on CP hauling trains down to Sweet Grass interchange off with crews out of the US...cool stuff that territory!
