Keep your head up Larry. Things will get better. Friend of mine worked for State DOT once said "The engineers behind the desk don't know their head from a hole in the ground about what happens out here (in the field). Those of us toting the shovel know more about what happens than they do. Just the same with you. You know what you're doing and those behind a desk, not always. I've always told my friends when they're having a hard time, "Scream on the inside, smile on the outside and keep a ball bat within reach". You never know, a baseball game might break out. On a different note. Did some railfanning today and saw a few Norfolk Southern trains with JB Hunt containers. I thought to myself "Wonder if Larry pulled any of those."

Good video man! I drove hostlers for PRS at the BNSF intermodal ramp in Portland, Or. That ramp was only a fraction of the size of that Corwith Yard.

Larry I just watched the vid at the CN rail good work on locking it down. Here is a couple of more tips when they drop the container on a locked pin in front it bends the goose neck of the chassis that's why the pin didn't line up if you would of locked the left side in before knocking out the right side it would of went in. Also that pin you knocked out it's easier to do if you have it dropped or at lease dump your air bags before you dolly up it takes the weight off the pin. I started local rail with JB at the end of 92 so I do have some experience.

Andy Tichenor Good Morning, Andy. Yep, I switch between a couple KZread channels. Larry and JBG and my top 2 channels. My weekend is ok so far. Unfortunately, my really good friend's Mom passed away last Sat, so yesterday was the funeral and celebration of life afterwards. She was a really nice lady, and treated me like one of her son's. She reminds me of of my own Mom, who I lost about 4 years ago, so it wad a pretty heavy day for me to say the least. Anyway, all is well. Going to make some coffee, and get my day started. Hope you have a very good Sunday, Andy. Take care, My Friend.

I noticed the container number on the container next to the one you dropped 351790 i'm going to date myself i had a load that was on container 200001 I dropped the first trailer in CY.

92 when they first started intermodal we were still using mostly trailers. The containers and chassis were junk if it rained the containers leaked and there were both 48 and 53 ft. containers and we had adjustable chassis thank god we didn't have slide them very often.

Trailers I was picking up 40 ,I took over a scale , you would not be leave the weight, was over just on cargos with over 90,000 , I cheek the bill of laden and I was right . I would these trailer were over gross , and I bet there still doing it . I was driving less then 25 miles . I have seen rail cars break , that is what happens

Someone in the office is totally lost! With all that waiting on your part. Company lost out & so did you. If the Eagles played like that dispatch plan the score would of been 60-0 for New England. Maybe you have to go to the office daily & work out your plan for the day or night. In the truck they can put you on hold.

Good Luck with that, dispatchers make your life heaven or living hell, doesn't seam to be much middle ground, and then in managers who never driven a truck and thats a disaster. No wonder people consider driving as an owner-operator. But, then you still are at the mercy of the dispatcher, and breakdowns and repairs eat into your profit margin.
