Hey Guys,
In todays video we are doing another BMX Trick How To where we break down The Rock Walk and show you exactly how to do it step by step. In this episode we really focused on breaking down each step to make it as basic and easy to follow as possible. We even added in some super slow mo clips where we really focus on what is going on frame by frame through out the trick.
Please let us know what you think of the video and how we broke the trick down. If you have suggestions on how it could be done to make it easier for you to follow and learn, please share that as we want to incorporate your feedback into these How to Trick Videos.
So far we have done the Infinity Roll and now the Rock Walk, so be sure to give us ideas on other tricks you would like to see me break down and teach you how to do.
Also, in this video I am riding an S&M Bike.
Thank you and Keep Riding!
RL Osborn

I could never quite figure out the "no brakes" part of this trick. I became proficient at the 180 bunny hop to rolling backwards to 180 slide back (sort of the last step of the rock walk). But I just couldn't figure out the sweet spot to get the rear wheel to come around without brakes. Cool to see RL demonstrate this old school trick again!

@@RLOsbornBMXFreestyle maybe now it's harder for you (probably for me as well since I haven't ridden a BMX bike since 1993, only mountain). I guess I overcame my fear and found a fun trick I could master without too much negative consequences if I messed it up! Everyone probably has one or two favorite tricks in their bag. I also liked the 360 fly out jump at the local jump spots. Although many times I could only muster a 270-ish. LOL

I personally would not use pedal pressure to pivot on the back tire. Hit your brake. Pedal pressure on a freecoaster while the hub is rolling backwards will damage an internal hub part known as a clutch. The damage to the clutch will eventually cause skipping when pedaling. Skipping is when the pedal engagement doesn't catch properly and the pedaling action will only get worse because the clutch is damaged. I've been using a freecoaster for 8yrs and know this from one experience. To replace a clutch is like $30 and the freecoaster will then work properly.
